Editing for film/television/marketable-music-videos != Editing for AMVs. I could see an interesting non-org contest being done here. Get ahold of royalty free footage (or make footage yourself) & footage from a live concert. Then a contest to see who can make the best video with a trivial prize live a free CD of the band or something. Pimp it on the org, live action LJ, etc.
