  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

3,5/5 :D :D

The bad:the quality was a bit bad,it had some extra blur at some points and the editing was a bit inconsistent from time to time.

The good:I liked the concept and it was quite funny. My second Ouran amv to keep in my collection!!

Keep it up!!

Thanks for the feedback everyone! Just wanted to say that I really appreciate all of the comments, be they good, bad or ugly. 8-) I knew this vid wasn't going to be perfect--I experimented with a lot of stuff, and made a lot of mistakes, obviously. But I learned a few things, and now that I'm better informed, I'm going to try my best to make my next video a LOT better. Hopefully in time for Otakon. So if you'll excuse me, I need to go re-read the technical guides for the 3rd time, and somehow trick my brain into absorbing it. YOU HEAR THAT, BRAIN? LEARN, DAMMIT! LEARN!

Oh WOW. This is what I love to see. There are only few videos with creators talented enough to make every scene seem like a tableau (IF you haven't brushed up on your french in a while, it's an expression used to designate a scene that single-handedly expresses a point, much like a painting), and even fewer where scene selection takes a clear precedent over synch. Synch is important, and you had perfect flow; but so many videos today clearly put more importance in where they cut than what they cut to, and you have your head in the right place. In addition, one of my favorite editing tricks is repetition of footage, and you did it with such delicious subtlety. It was great.

Don't change your style too much: It has the brutal honesty of someone who hasn't been doing this for too long (Correct me if I'm wrong), and only few keep it as they progress. I'd love to see you be one of them.

DLing now while I am at work...will comment later!

Edit: Lulz, fun video. The pacing seemed a little slow for me though...I have also not seen Ouran High School yet so the story telling was done well as I could follow the video very well.

The editing was kinda all over the place and the flow felt choppy. Other than that it was still entertaining.

3.5/5
