Sure. Guess #1: It´s a setting of the effect
Guess #2: It´s a setting of the malfunction effect

Solution: Just render out a clip without the bars (crop please) and use it instead of your current footage. That´s all.
hahaha yeah thats what I do to not have those black bars problem when I move the footage or stuff like that :P

Buazi's critiq in one sentence

Blending modes and the vector tool are the base of nearly every advanced effect. Without these two things amvs like my Different Realities ore Project Relice from -GfN- wouldn´t be possible at all.

A blending mode tells a track how to be displayed on the second one. Example:
Make this little fluffy buny:

Look like this with "add":

If you´re good in blending modes like me you can do stuff like in my video Different Realities (left is the original):

(it´s made with 3 layers and some additional effects, but the core are blending modes)

You can speed clips up in Vegas to 800%, if you know how ;)

I'll comment on the beta a bit later.

if the "how" you are refering to is the same I'm thinking then you can even speed it up to infinite% :lol: , thought that would kill the preview windeo O.O.

@Kev: x2, Sky USE IT!! >=O *checks out that rabbit wings vid*
@Bauzi: I see, then is basically to manipulate the original scenes changing the brightness, contrast, the alpha/gamma chanels and stuff? (and some other effects that you like to use :P). Though I don't know if that is what Guy needs in his beta to tell you the truth, maybe some manipulations, but not something like you can do :o .

Right-click on clip -> Inset Envelope -> Velocity

Raise the velocity bar to 200%.

Right-click on clip -> Properties

Where it says "Playback rate" enter 4.000.

4.0x200=800%.

And technically, if you wanted to make this clip go even FASTER, you could drag a loop around it, render it out, then import that and increase ITS velocity and playback rate.

So, I was gonna go download your beta, and then I saw everyone had already given you a big list of stuff... I won't add to it, however I am interested in seeing it, since yours is the track after mine, right?

@Omega:
No the two pics of Sousuke is just an example of good blending mode use. I don´t really want to see such stuff in Guy´s part too. He just should experiment with blending modes, because they give a lot of opportunity.

@Ben:
I see. Not a bad idea, but:
And technically, if you wanted to make this clip go even FASTER, you could drag a loop around it, render it out, then import that and increase ITS velocity and playback rate.
That´s cheating. Premiere can do a high %-rate (at least over 1000) without such tricks =P
