Random Brutality: my first action amv

Post by prYzm » Sun Oct 07, 2007 9:12 am

figured if i posted here i might get some constructive criticism =D

Title : Random Brutality
Genre: action/horror
Anime : elfen lied
Song/Artist : Scum of the Earth / Rob zombie
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... p?v=150846

i know my amv is gonna be completly overshadowed by the condemned memoir thats just been done but o well.
i noticed that noone had done a scum of the earth song on a-m-v.org for over a year so figured id take a shot at it. also its never been done to elfen lied.
my biggest struggle was trying to keep the blown off limbs and morbid destruction to a minimum so that this amv will be safe to enter in a local comp.
newayz feel free to attack my editing =D. anythign that gives me ideas on what ot improve (apart from my spelling)

The First AMV I ever watched had that song :P I'll check it out.

//gets

EDIT:

Alright let's see..

The Wrong Aspect Ratio was the Thing that bugged me the most. Elfen Lied is a Anamorphic Widescreen Anime so the frame size should be something like 848x480, 768x432, 720x400, etc. Your Video looks stretched and just fugly.

As for the Red Flashes..I didn't get why they were there..They didn't seem to hit any beat nor had any other special reason to be there, rather seemed useless and annoying.

I felt like you could have synched more. Lots of times it didn't felt powerful enough, some tighter beat synch would have worked better imo.

However, the Masks in one point were a nice addition but I didn't like the outpumping outlines effect you used on them. Well, I despise that effect anyways...

I also think your Video is too violent to be on LOCAL, I see how you tried to not add Nudity, but the main point for elfen lied videos to be removed is the Violence (Dude with hole in his body, Nana's finger getting sliced off, etc.). Even though you didn't use much of those scenes there are still some that make this amv "not orgable". You should ask for deletion of your LOCAL file and contact ngsilver and ask him to let your Video hosted in his Adult Archive.

However I still enjoyed watching this AMV. Mostly because of the Sources used though. I love Elfen Lied and I love the song, so that combination worked good for my likings, however its not a keeper for me. But Keep it up!

2/5

That was not special or some new thing. Editing was ok sometimes it looks not perfect but it was ok. The music helps a little bit to push the video. but for me there is it not great work, it is good.

and i must say same here, to violent for local
