No, this has nothing to do with those infernal Awww videos, don't worry I won't make you listen to the Lucky Star Op for the 5 billionth time...

No, this is in response to a thought I had (Yes, Crack, even before you). Don't you just hate those Beyond The Clouds (Place Promised) videos that have NOTHING to do with the movie?? (Yes, Waking Hour, I'm looking at you o.0) This idea is just what my Shine series is about!

To be honest, I couldn't really see any story or plot in this AMV, it almost seemed like you selected a bunch of random scenes from the movie and just shoved them in. Also, I didn't really think the 23 second bumper was necessary either, just a tad too long. You slowed down a few of the scenes to the point where the frame's became obvious, which kinda detached me from the AMV and got me thinking "wow this looks gay". At 36 seconds, when you did the zoom it, boy did that look horrible. Minus points for repeating the same shot twice, though I was surprised you didn't beat-sync the Sun Burst scene (thank god). The last criticism I'd have to make would be that you faded the song out at (what I thought was) the wrong place, because that was when the music picked up, leaving me feeling "ahh... that's it?"

All that being said however, what I really liked most about this AMV was your pace. Even if I thought you put the scenes together wrong, I really felt the mood of the song, and you conveyed it well through your scene selection.

2.5/5 From me, I've seen far worse, but this could have been so much better.

Interesting you mentioned sleeping, cause that's what happened to me when this came up on the Pro discs.

lmao! that's not surprising considering 1 it was sandwiched in between two of the best videos on there PLUS the audio was freaking 100 decibels lower than normal PLUS it was the first version I uploaded -_-.
But hey! if everything was perfect I wouldn't be suprised by this coment either lol. You really gotta use both sides of your brain on my videos. No, seriously, if you just watch my videos to watch amvs you will probably miss the point.

- Footage quality is bleh. Not suprising considering the filesize.
- Scenes are pretty much random.
- General synch is fine, but there were a lot of good opportunities you missed.
- Cutting the song off is just random and jarring. It barely fades, it just kinda stops.
- There's no real connection between the song and the anime. Yes. I know. Lyrically you could say there is, but when I'm watching the video I'm <i>feeling</i> no connection between the two.
- Including the song from the anime at the start is somewhat random.
- The zoom in on towards the start was horrible.
- I read the description, but I seriously didn't see any kind of coherence in the AMV what-so-ever.

Personally I felt this AMV had even less to do with the anime than all of the other BTC videos out there.

yeah that didn't quite come out as I wanted it to lol. Not... just... I wish everybody (or even a slight majority of everybody) thought like me ;/... but I'm really glad they don't lol.

Anyway, thanks, guys, for the overnight entertainment lol seriously, I feel alot has been learned from the advise given in this thread!

I gotta say this though, nobody likes this song cuz it's the same damn lines 5x in a row!! I'm sorry I trimmed it to only 3

, and that's like the first, third and last, the end is trimmed but that's just cuz it goes into a wannabee guittar rif that again was pretty repetitive imho. that is a faded end too, it's just the sound jumps so I did better covering that up WITH a fade. The jump is so loud and obnoxious that a fade just covers it up, I can't put a fade on a fade... well I can but. It jumps cuz I lengthened a chord to make my custom end so I wouldn't have another half a minute of filler just to accommodate the stupidity. Yes -_- quite a bit of audio work plus more that you don't know ^_^ I really enjoy tweaking around with audio.

told you somene was going to complain on those =P, especially the zoom XD.

I myself have liked this song since a lot, I found the pace and flow enjoyable, but I still think that it needed more work. I haven't watched the anime so I can't agree if it was random or not, cause I kinda got something from it... lol?

lmao, yea, maybe my videos are more for those who have NOT seen the anime than those that have. I try to keep that in mind while editing so I think it's become a part of me

The zoom, I agree, it looks bad (and worse now!), but if you can think of a more sentimental way to use that scene I am all ears. You know what? I use THAT scene and ONLY that scene BECAUSE it is not random. The only random part of the video (not including the op) is the parts I changed from pro to release. There are no repeated scenes ^_^ the girl just goes through the same set of scenes as the boy ^_^ I just thought that was hilarious so I put it in (and thus is the ONLY filler part).
