OK, someone likes to go to videocopilot xD
The quality of the video itself was pretty good, but the footage was upscaled and didn't look that good. But the main problem of the video is the lacking concept and the sync. It just show some flying stuff, and that is all. As someone before me mentioned, FX are there to help the anime to create an AMV, and not the opposite. Anyway, you have some skills with AE, but if you wish to create something better that a tech demo, work more on the concept and the sync.
2/5 sry

mh you pretty much know what I think.
the video itself is pretty shitty, I'd give it 3/10
but considering how old you yourself are and how long you've been into editing, I'm pretty sure we've got seriously good things to expect of you.
the main thing you need to do is to get a good eye for what looks good and what looks bad in terms of flow, effects and sync.
the idea of making cool interfaces appear on 2d layers in 3d space while doing jizzy movement with it isn't too awesome either, the one part with the butterfly was the most enjoyable imo...
ask me anytime, if you need help tho ;p
P.S.: also get off the apparent use of stock footage and tutorial whoring

The big file size for the short video was a bit of a downer, and yeah my advice for the synch is just do a video with a normal time line, a few effects maybe, but focus on improving synch. You should have sent a final beta to me so i could nitpick a few things, but i still kinda liked it. 3/5
That almost looked like a jab at me kev >_<;Guy told me to get this, but it wasn't worth it :/

I found interesting to watch, some effects are nice, but it's pity to don't see transitions (as 01:48 for example), I think it's a kind of video where we can do easy that, in my opinion, that would have given much interest at the video. Also, I've found keys frames sometime too abrupts.
The concept is nice but instead of effects, there isn't very much things comprehensibles.
Interesting to watch, but one time. =)
