Oh wait, I suppose sooooooomeone is going to claim to be the honest upstanding pure as the driven snow type (probably has never reached orgasm watching "inappropriately" drawn anime either hehe).
I have two cool routes to anime.
Decent fan subs (gives profuse thanks to every fansubber in existence, you guys are great).
And
Buddies with more cash than brains thanks to good paying job (draftsman), no desire to leave parents house (even when nearly a fine example of a 40 year old virgin, thank god he's not a virgin), and a desire to own massive sums of anime (god guys that pick anime collections over being able to practice procreation regularly can be damn handy).
I've likely got access to more anime than you guys would believe, if I were to tell you, so I won't try to quantify it, odds are you would just dismiss it as not possible.
I have not paid for one lousy dvd myself though. Not yet.
As for applications, well I could likely find a few hundred bucks for apps faster than I could find the talent to make an amv, so I will stick to being part of the appreciative audience. Hey, audiences are important too eh
The only way I am out cash for my anime fix, is in paying for broadband internet. But I use that for everything else too.
Don't sweat it kids, eventually you'll have bigger things to worry about hehe
School just started back up, so it's back to wondering when my 13 year old son is going to realize EXACTLY what makes girls a lot of fun.
