I use PICvideo's M-JPEG codec. Just adjust quality settings to full. Editing is virtually instant, so you can edit as fast as you want... but the free version leaves watermarks [logo] at the top and bottom of the video... however, I like to make widescreen videos, and watermarks are easy to crop off... plus I've got other ways of getting around watermarks too... >.>

They no doubt involve acquiring a legitimate product key via purchase of the comercial compressor.Phantasmagoriat wrote:I use PICvideo's M-JPEG codec. Just adjust quality settings to full. And God spoke unto the Chicken, and He said: "Thou shalt crosseth the road", and the Chicken did cross the road, and there was much rejoicing.

CorePNG? Although, Lagarith is still better and faster.post-it wrote:.. of only there was a way to make Motion-PNG files; now THAT would be a super-clean Codec.. if only there was such a thing
M-JPEG is great for bait and switch (AKA offline editing). But even at high quality, it still sucks. Stick to lossless codecs or working directly with AVS scripts.
Insert clever text/image here.

QuickTime also has a PNG codec.

you got me... I just didn't want to be the only one to admit that I got sucked into purchasing the product. >.>Gepetto wrote:They no doubt involve acquiring a legitimate product key via purchase of the comercial compressor.Phantasmagoriat wrote:I use PICvideo's M-JPEG codec. ffdshow's VFW has an MJPEG codec. Free, and no watermarks. Not that I advocate editing with MJPEG, but whatever - I use it for frame demarcation so I know where to go in the main scripted VOBs.Phantasmagoriat wrote:you got me...
