pretty much same here, but likewise I do end up liking a good bit of them.

I found the deathnote one to that teenagers song quite humerous even if it wasn;t intended to be

Like pro seems to be lately, I didn't find any video that I thought oh yea definitely voting for this in this category this year, A few (as in like 1 or 2) stand out, but they were almost all quite good, yet none really breathtaking.

odlly I didn't notice any issues, though I did watch it on my TV on the settop DVd player, not the PC first time through.

Whoever did that best lipsync video needs to be shot  I am forever scar'd now

I was also slightly disappointed overall. And there were quite a few I really did enjoy. I unfortunately didn't see a video I knew right off the bat that I wanted to win best of show either...

I'm happy to see some adult material on the disks. I like having to sign the form for a reason. ^^

I need to sit down and watch the videos more critically before I can form real opinions on all the videos.

ok finaly... so now the guessing who made each video commences???

so since it's only 2 dvds out of 5 sent, do we get like a 3 dvd credit for next year?? .... or does somebody just make out with a ton of free dvdrs.

I'm curious about #22... My first impression was it was totally AD style. Or Kusoyaro, but he already used that song. And both of them didn't even enter as far as I know. :uhoh:

I rather enjoyed the oldboy video, the live action vids seem pretty good this year. Walking on sunshine seemed alot better exicuted before the sex 'came into it' (bad play on words i know).

Comedy Seems like a stronger group of vids this year, code monkey, die hard, bit part demon, and others that i can't quite remember. anyways gotta go back to work on Call Of Duty 4 now.

yeah... I don't care about providing the dvds or anything but... it's not cool asking for 250% when you only need 100%!

... coarse I'm sure this happens every year.

And I gotta thank the person who did the Kannon vid (like 34...), I been looking for that song since hearing it on Titanic -_- (which, btw, is a horror now?)

And how were they supposed to know how many entries they'd have until they got them? So, what if they only asked for 2 DVDs but then got a lot of entries and couldn't fit all the videos on it?

We were about 2-3 videos short of needing 3 discs (and would hard-cap the contest at 4 if we had that many entries) but managed to get it onto 2. Also, between the refurb DVD writers (hehe, factory replacements for the drives that died LAST year from burning all the discs) starting to go flaky on us 2/3rds of the way through and the questionable packing methodology of about a third of ya'll (no jewel cases/sleeves or, in one person's case, scotch tape to the back side of a piece of cardboard) I went through a number of re-burns.

Way more than I honestly expected...

I think their getting to the point where they have the deadline early enough to be able to give you a deffinitive count. Just a little earlier than this year should do the trick. Even just ask for a finished Beta by say, July 10, than give us the rest of the month to get DVDs/ the final cut into their hands.

Even so, asking for 2x+ as much as they need is just outRAGEOUS, who do they think they are, the US Army?!! I mean, sure, you'll get some coasters, but on the other hand you'll also get some where you REALLY only needed 2! Seriously, how many DVDs had you ruined that couldn't be chalked up to user error like you (or somebody else o.0) forgot something?? The equipment is just at a very high level now, imo.

[strike-threw]Also, might have to mandate sending them in jewel cases instead of just sleaves... but I'd imagine everybody does that anyway...[/strike-threw]

edit:ok got to read Kholoras' post... but still :o sure there's something that can be done.

just wondering, it might save some time if you just stuck to the good ones. lol just putting the idea out, one I'm sure you thought of anyway -_-
