My biggest complaint - speed. The action in the movie already strikes me as too sped up and blurry, worsened by the resounding gray shades, so when amvers take that already-fast-and-blurry action footage and dice it up three times as fast with random effects to distort it even more, it's just a bunch of gray flashing. Most ac vids look alike to me, not because of reused footage, but because most of them are so fast, blurred and/or distorted that I can't see the footage at all. The only thing that changes is how those flickering gray blurs are synced to the different songs.

Ok, lets try it this way. Imagine if someone came on the forums and asked what's wrong with using Linkin Park & DBZ/Naruto. You instantly thought of a dozen difference sarcastic replies didn't you? Well apply each of them to Advent Children, add in a few random goat fucking references, and you got my reaction to your question.

Everyone was sick of advent Children from the Start even as much when it DIDN'T come out to dvd.
CloudxSephirothMountsRed69YuffieYuriTifaInter-racialBarretViolatesCid(Question): How can you get sick of something that you have never seen yet to give clear judgement?
Yoko(Answer): Cause we've been seeing just about the same footage when Trailers kept getting released. I'm sure everyone remembers seeing an amv with watermarked Tech TV channel text on the advertisement or IGN watermarks as well. It's probably been hated more than waited for most amv editors. Everyone was so much eager to make an amv out of this 2 min. source of footage rather than waiting for the DVD to come out.

Here's why because advent children doesn't have much besides pointless fighting and mabye 20 minutes of a story. It was origenally going to be just a short but was decided mid way to turn it into a movie. That and holes in the charecters logic and motivation. I don't know aobut you but interfering with a fight that if the baddie succeeds at means the end of the world is far more important then your boyfriend working out his personal issues which were already worked out at the end of FF7 in the first place.
The lack of deeper meaning gets deeper all the time when you add something as meaningless as what people draw from linkin park. Which is why despite everything and all the crap people say Evangelion videos keep getting made, while there is fights over the meaning there at least is a meaning there in the first place to draw from. I said it when advent children came out that it was going to fade away and it is. So pretty much advent children's reaching its 'party like its 1999' expiration date.
