- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.

The following is what I'm going to add to the video description, but it's relevant to replying to what's been said in here:
I absolutely love the animation of Makoto Shinkai's films. I can never bring myself to adding extraneous effects to them simply because I don't think they need it.. its almost too much for me. I think 5cm Per Second is his best film, not only because of the animation (the details just blow his previous film out of the water), but also because the story isn't a simple love story between two characters, yet it's not over-dramatized as his previous films were (no crazy sci-fi stuff). It's a very down-to-earth and realistic film. That said, I wanted to make a simple video that's a lot more down-to-earth to match what I felt the movie was about. My focus was towards the end of the film - being fine with what's happened in the past (what's happened in their relationships and/or pursuit of) and moving on with their lives - momentum.

Kewp, we're all whores for Shinkai. You just seem to get a jump on everyone in terms of making a definitive video to his anime. And this one's no exception
Really nice job. Not to sound stupid, but if I were editing to the same sources I probably would've done it the same way. The two really fit. Well, as is the case with your other Shinkai vids, really!

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Good Jorb Jay.
Not the best thing ever but I enjoyed watching it none the less. I feel your love for Shinkai's movie's and its good to see that you left it intact. The song didn't do much for me but thats just a matter of taste I guess. The editing was pretty spot on and had a nice overall flow. All in all I think you did a good job for a short fun video and I'll hang on to this one. I am however affright this is going to kick off allot of "blehhh.." 5cm video's. We shall see I guess.

Trythil managed to remind me that in spite of all my asianopias, I still suck at physics.

yes this was indeed simple-looking, thought the anime really impressed me with so much detail (thanks to the awesome quality of the AMV), I don't think it needed effects, as you said the footage itself don't need them and the song wasn't that beat up to use them IMO.
The editing was very solid, it started a bit too slow but it got better in the second half, one thing though is that I was expecting more than this, it sure is an AMV above the average (thanks to the editing) but the feeling of it is the same I have seen in a lot of sentimental/romance vids and as I said I was hoping something more.
Though don't take this too seriouslly since I CAN'T edit Sentimental and Romance vids >.>U, I'm a fast-beat fanatic when it comes to edit my own vids :/
4/5, I'm sure I will check out the anime though, it really impressed me in the aspect of beautifull details
