I enjoyed it. I always have a hard time watching videos to foreign music with subtitled lyrics, because it's hard to focus on any one aspect, and this video is no exception, but without the subs I don't think I would have liked it because you matched up almost every scene with the lyrics.

Not very reviewable for me, because the song isn't to my liking, but it was very well-edited and you have again made something completely new, which I really respect. 4/5

I find myself thinking the same thing about MADs sometimes, so I understand your point. They often leave me thinking, if the lyrics had anything to do with the video, or was it there for no real reason. Subtitles help if the song's lyrics have some relation to what is going on the screen, but unless you memorize the words then it can be a bit tricky to follow the whole thing.
