Haha, I really don't understand you sometimes...
First of all I am REBEL for something that I DON'T WANT to do, not to everything, becasue than I would not make AMVs at all. And I said 9999 times DBZ is my fav thing in the world...

Second - Actually my impression is that in the past 5 years there are FAR FAR more AMVs with new-age-animes(Naruto, Elfen Lied...) than DBZ AMVs...

To lack in something you have to have some standard, on which you can lack comparing to that standard. BUT 1. nowhere it says "video must be like this or that"

There's a standard to what makes a video have a point and quite frankly, once again you're video has no point. Never said that the video must be like this but that my claim is true... If you like action, must I repeat myself that this is just an action lyric story line? There's no point in it! Now, whether someone likes or dislikes the point is again a matter of taste.

Let's say you made ice cream but it lacks sugar. I am sure there are benefits for those such as people with diabetes but there's also the fact that it lacks sugar. Of course there's a standard for what it lacks but that isn't a matter of taste. It really does lack it! One could always skip this fact, as some probably have done in this thread, and still enjoy the ice cream for being cold. It has all the properties of the ice cream but lacks sugar. The same goes for your video... The person can argue that he made the ice cream like he wanted, this still doesn't make it right. So you should at least admit that you lack it...

We aren't going to force you to add sugar (lol or make a point) but at least admit that it doesn't have a point just like the fact that the ice cream lacks sugar.

I won't say you suck because that's not an accurate depiction nor is it appropriate. Obstinate beyond remedy is more like it but I am at least trying to get you to accept our criticism as fact. Since you don't give a damn, I guess this conversation should end then...

So if I think I did great work and I did good balance between action and story FOR MY TASTE and just like I IMAGINED, then I am satisfied

If an action video is your taste then fine but we'll still call it pointless because that's a fact. Whether someone could glance over that fact, is largely up to the viewer but we thought it was worth mentioning.

For me the greatest point is that I shown in this AMV something that I imagined.
For you point is "more story, less action" or something like that, don't know for sure just an example...

Any other way I can just say "ok to you, I respect your opinion, but to me is not" end of the story...

Pointless by definition is something which lacks meaning. It's not more/less (subjective) of but rather a lack of (fact). The subjectiveness lies on whether the viewer likes or dislikes what is being lacked. The prime thesis of mine is once again to provide a epistemological justification (logically speaking) for what is obviously lacking in your AMV. Indeed it is within your means to be satisfied with this AMV as you accomplished what you set out to do. However, the same could be said of sugarless ice cream...

Accomplishing you're goal is far from applying an actual point to your AMV. We are giving potential areas where you can improve the AMV as ORG is after all, a place where others can provide critiques. One could like sugarless ice cream while a lot of people will probably dislike it. You surely don't have to follow the crowd but it is still a negative for others which you'll have to realize.

For example, my recent AMV lacked in quality but it was still viewable. Some aren't quality centered while others are... There's no problem in taking their suggestion and accepting it. Arguing with them by saying, "I respect your opinion, but to me is not lacking" is just bullshit. You see, the subjectiveness here only lies on whether one likes or dislikes (or doesn't care...) that which is being lacked. This argument supports my thesis.

What you're giving an example of is 'more/less of' which is of course subjective. My actual point is "no point..." because it is an action video without a story. The matter of tastes comes about when we think about whether an action video is good without a story. Apparently there are those who think this video is unique (I don't see how) which is their subjective answer.

On the other hand, I am arguing based on the fact that this video lacks...and this furthermore makes me justified to come to my subjective conclusion that this isn't unique; while also suggesting that it needs improvement.

You're right, I just wanted to make myself more clear with the distinction between what is subjective and fact. Guess I went overboard with my thinking
