I think that the list should be a secret, and if someone really wants to know who is after him/her, he/she could just ask Sky to tell him/her. In my opinion, it would be much better to watch the final video without previously knowing the list and generally not knowing who you got your audio source from, and who did you give yours.

I'd say secret list as well, and then tell them right when they're required who's coming after, personally I agree with godix that while you could give a really weird piece of audio to someone, you'd either get a track that'll just get skipped over, or you'll find someone who's talented enough to make something work. If it's an editors who's going to make a skip-track, I'd say give them the back up audio.

Also, might I suggest either a new official thread, or at least updating the first post with relevant information?

I vote for the list to be secret, and PMs would be nice as well O:

I was also wondering how much is the lenght of the music, lets not say 45 sec exactly, more like 40-50 sec (since not every song is exact in the timing and stuff O:)

he is going to do a new topic, since this is pretty much too full XD and Sky said it 2 pages ago or something like that. But yeah I would like to read information about the format, AR, fps and stuff :P

In your case godix, because I know what you're planning on doing with your audio, I could let you know ahead of time who's coming after you. But a lot of people seem to think the secret list would be good, and I'm kinda leaning towards it myself, so that's the way I'm gonna go. But if you need to know who's coming before or after you for some reason (a good reason, that I'm going to need to know), we can work something out.

It will depend on common sense. 45 seconds is going to be about the average, but I'll spell this out more clearly in the first post of the next thread, speaking of which...

Yeah, don't worry, this thread isn't going to be the official MEP thread. I'm actually probably going to go write that in Notepad on my other computer as soon as I'm done here today, but it won't be posted for another week or two. I'm waiting until August, and I want all the details hammered out in this thread so there's no confusion in the official one.

Yeah, I'm not too keen myself on the idea of picking your audio based on the editor following you, as after all, this is an MEP meant to challenge the editors involved, if I understood correctly.

Though in godix's case, we could make an exception. Not everybody knows what clips to put on fornicating animal sounds.

Actually I'm kinda in a similar boat as godix. Might not be as bad though.

Actually, that was the backup audio for people who wouldn't be able to do my primary idea. I mean what anime fan doesn't own bestiality hentai? It would have been an easy segment.

Anyway cracker dealt with my concerns in PM so I should be able to use my primary audio and he still keeps the unknown random idea so I withdraw my objection.

Maybe this is already the case, but it looks like some people will have some interesting audio that might be hard to work with, for rhythmical reasons not ridiculous reasons. So I think it would be a good idea to kinda screen the editors as well. I'd assume you aren't going to just randomly draw numbers from a hat, but instead listen to all the audio submissions and kinda break them up accordingly to editors that have the potential to do them justice. I don't want to submit something, like a song that is incredibly fast paced for example, and have an editor that does mostly slow drama totally botch the editing. (No offense intended toward anyone in the project.)

I don't think you'll need to contact people and tell them who is after who, but a little bit of prep work by watching a couple of each editors vids and loosely matching them with audio that is at least within their editing range would be preferable if we're going for a quality project. It can still be random and improv, just a little cut here and there of the audio-to-editor matchings that absolutely wouldn't work out.

I guess it's a thin line between making a totally random Iron Chef style MEP and an actual "improv" MEP geared toward quality viewing. Just a thought.

That wouldn't work, Because Having not finished a vid for 8 months, and having accidently deleted all my shit before uploading anything decent here, crack has nothing to go off of, in my case at least.
