One part was that I did want to test the limits of what my computer could do when working in HD - plus whenever I get my hands on the proper hardware to play back that encode in real-time, I wanted it to be the sharpest-looking it could be, and since most of the source would easily accommodate 720p, I just went for it. With the FPS, I actually edited it at 24fps so I could conserve whatever resources I had, and then adjusted everything to 60 for export - since it was only stills I didn't have to worry about problems arising. Using 60 rather than 30 was again tied back to the decision for later HD viewing - since 720p60 is valid I figured I'd make the most of it. There was also a part of me that assumed that the jagged motion in some of the pans in the 24fps render wouldn't be completely gone even at 30fps.
As for the concept, though, I'd had it long before I'd even thought about doing stuff in HD.

I mean translated it would've been annoying to read and like that the japanese is just in the way, probably should've taken the time to get all of the text out of the images.
It was something I did debate with myself on, but I just find it too jarring to have blank text balloons when it isn't possible to easily remove the balloon entirely, so I at least tried to minimize it by retaining the Japanese.
Ingow wrote:did you manipulate the mood of the doujin through the song or was this supposed to be more like an exact representation of the source?
Not entirely either way. It's not totally an exact representation, but there's not too much I had to do to make the source fit with the music, either.

I prefer Rapidshare, but it can't store things over 100megs without using split archives, and I wanted to be consistent.
