It wasn't terrible, but I didn't get much out of it either, particularly from the length.

Its good to see a newcomer actually want to improve. In the eyes of critics it may seem average, but I think that is quite a compliment for a first video (most suck). Your fix up a few things here and there, and your future videos will progress from average to awsome.

To be honest, I have taken into consideration what everyone has told me from around the web but I don't think this video should have been any differant than it is.
I tried to do something differant with it. I understand that it is long and that I didn't sync the main beat consistantly with the video pace but it wouldn't have been hard to do that or even add it in. It's just that I wanted to do a piece that was more of a story telling with style rather than a traditional music video. I thought that the song and anime title had so much in common that I simply wouldn't get another chance to put a video togather in that style and have it work out the way it did. I know technically it would be more interesting to do it a differant way but I still feel that it is perfect how it is.
That isn't to say that I feel I should get a 5 star rating cause I know it's got some serious slow spots due to the approach I used but it is nice to see that of the 20 or so people that rated it over the course of the week it's been out I got a star average that has fluctuated between 3.74 and 4.17. I am compleatly happy with that. It's only been a week or so though. It could get worse over time but oh well. While I admit I was a tad pissed about the response in this thread I know that you guys are being honest and I can see that you guys are correct about the things that have a negative effect on my video. I take the good with the bad and move on. I just hope my next video isn't worse than this one.
The video I am working on right now is around 4 minutes and I plan to sync it up more traditionally. I am currently exploring the effects that I can use cause I never really looked outside the effects that I had in my head when making "becomming texhnolyzed". With it being shorter and more fast paced with a more consistant sync, I would say it has pretty much overcome all of the main things that were complained about in this video. I think my next video will be more interesting to the majority. Hopefully I don't drop the ball and run it into the ground though. Trying to take my time with it.
