Gotta Be Strong!

Post by Krazoom » Sun Jul 15, 2007 12:29 am

Video:: Gotta Be Strong
Anime:: Final Fantasy X & X-2
Song:: E.O.
Artist:: AI
Duration:: 3:30
File Size:: 77.6mb

I like making AMVs as a hobby but I seldom ever show them off for selfish reasons. This one however I guess I am happy with how it came out. This AMV is called Gotta Be Strong. Using the Real Emotion FMV from FFX-2 and The Wedding FMVs from FFX, this AMV revolves mainly on Yuna and her almost marriage to Seymour. What is happening though is she is singing on stage and while singing she is remembering that day in bevelle.

The song Ive chosen is one that Ive been listening to for a while now. It is by an artist who most of you probably dont know. The artist name is AI, a Japanese (underrated) artist fluent in both English and Japanese. She is extremely talented and not to mention beautiful. The song is called E.O from her 2004 album entitled 2004 A.I. lol. I think sound wise this song fits the scenes perfectly. The scenes go pleasantly well with the music.. To be honest most of the time it seems like the song and yuna’s lip movements are almost in perfect sync.

Anyway it took a little while to make this so I hope it will be downloaded. Please fell free to leave your opinions. Thanks...

/gets for the hell of it

And for future reference, you don't have to type all the info out. Instead, use the following code:

Code: Select all

[vidid=###]
Where the #s are put in the number at the end of your video profile's URL.

To be honest, I didn't expect much going into it, but the song choice intrigued me, so...

-a lot of the scenes dragged on without any noticeable edits, so it was a little difficult to keep interest there, it would have been nice to see a little more variety in the video
-there were two spots where the audio seemed to skip; did you cut the song down, or was the audio track just damaged?
-at the very end, when the music was fading out and you put in a short clip of Yuna/Valefor, I think you could have done without that there at all, maybe put credits there instead

-pretty solid editing, no obvious effects, but I don't think the song needed it anyway
-the dissolves between yuna on the stage, and yuna at the wedding, were well timed/executed
-the song did feel like it fit the footage, which helped, since Final Fantasy X/X-2 footage is so overused now

So overall, good job! It looks like you've got a good handle on the basic process, all you need to do now is polish it up a bit. 3/5
