Linkin Park Obession?

No not an AMV just a question.. I’m just wondering what is the obsession with linkin park in AMVs? Practically every AMV I have seen on youtube has been with a linkin park song. After seeing about 10 AMVs in one day I guess I get pretty sick of hearing "Numb"..

because everyone knows to make a good amv you gotta use linkin park O:

either that or because their lyrics are so "bland" they can go to just about anything

the real question is: if you dont like over used sources why are you looking them up?

Oh no I don’t search for linin park. I search AMV and those are the results I get. Sure their lyrics are easy to use for practically anything but using a linkin park song for every amv kind of makes them all seem the same. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen a FFX AMV with Numb and couldn’t tell the difference between the videos.

if you want to see good videos using linkin park (or any other over used source) then look here

as for just looking up "amv" why dont you look for something more specific? like perhaps a series or movie you like... and tag on "amv" to the search

IE "Howl's Moving Castle AMV"

or look up videos here instead of there recommended amvs is a good place to start, and theres always the top 10% is another place you can look... the top star scale and top favorited videos

i can guarantee that if you search here you will only find amvs unlike that other place

The songs linkin park makes fits the stories and characters of many animes.

One reason is that there aren't a lot of good songs that relate to someone's character and with a good beat. Linkin Park is after all has to be one of the most popular rock bands with it's unique style. Also, the situations match that of Linkin Park and make AMVing easier than most bands. There are not many bands out there that go with someone's feelings, experiences and character. Bands such as girlfriend are just junk and then there are those that don't really deserved to be called music. Others just focus on beats... I think the music industry is collapsing and many are becoming sell-outs. Linkin Park, at least with their past songs, was one of the rare bands where I liked every song in the album.

Many have used it as well which inspires other people to do so as well I suppose with their own scenes to personalize it. Others who are professionals do it for the sake of remedying many of the bad AMV's out there. Not everyone knows what constitutes as a good amv except for some obviously horrible ones. I have met some who just make one amv and then are lazy to do more.Using the majority of what's out there makes it easier on the person to just use some of the parts they like and combine them.

Others want to create things, but don't have the talent or willingness to be creative and spend a lot of time working on it. Not all Linkin Park amv's are bad, but it is overused.

but now I heard LP sounds like everyone else. so I guess they're not emo anymore or something.

but yeah LP in an AMV almost always = instant fail.

Yes, there are a lot of horrible AMV's done to linkin park and they started to annoy me. I personally like Linkin Park, but such amv's made me get tired of them.

I am glad that there are still great AMV's like memories in the Dark that make me believe that even an AMV with an UBER overused band like LP can be amazing.
