Take a look through "what are you listening to now" thread, you can spot out the true metal fans in there.

*raises hand to original question* just to start on topic... there's a short list of tracks in my profile for the new 'metal' compilation I'm working on, its changed from Death Metal when I started to use Swallow the Sun, Blind Stare, This Ending... more melodic than death ..

My list of death metal is short.

Amon Amarth
Arch Enemy
Atheist
Cynic (don't own any still, but I plan on it soon enough <.<)
Dark Tranquility
Death
Ihsahn (hard to say exactly where his solo stuff goes, but eh, close enough)
Into Eternity
Opeth
Orphaned Land (there're some growls in there)
Strapping Young Lad

Ill admit as well I have fallen off the death metal bandwagon and hopped onto the melodic metal one.. and when it comes to Gardnian, I only have the track Soulburner, from the Swedish melo/death metal compilation, it's hard to find more of their stuff but I AM in love with this band, great new sound I was looking for.
