The full rules for the Pro contest include both:
You must include four new, blank DVDs and a stamped, self-addressed return mailer that can hold all four DVDs with your entry
and
When you send DVD media, send 5 single-layer DVDs. (4 for the contest, plus 1 backup if any are burned incorrectly).
Which is correct, four or five blank DVDs?

Ahh... thought I caught all the typos like that. It's 5.

I didn't see it asked anywhere else here, so:

If we are submitting a video to the Pro contest via FTP, do the blank DVDs still need to arrive by the deadline as well, or is there some leeway there?

You can probably get away without the overnight delivery, but it really should at least be on it's way to me by the deadline. For various reasons, we're looking at having as fast a turnaround on these as possible this year.

Moar liek what are the other categories under which other editors in the contest place your video.

Judging by previous years, the submitter doesn't pick, the masses do.

That's just it. Nobody knows for sure what the categories will be until the entrants nominate some categories and vote on them. The only thing that's for sure is that there will not be any insulting or deprecating categories.

Of course, you can usually count on having your standard Best Comedy, Best Drama, Best Action...

I don't remember seeing it listed anywhere, but is there a content restriction for the masters competition? Basically, are we restricted to PG-13 and lower content in our video or can we explore more adult source?
