Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Our Golden Dreams

Post by TheBlackHalbardier » Sat Jun 30, 2007 8:46 pm

Hello, all:

The song is James Taylor's 'Never Die Young', which somehow just matched up in my head with Castle in the Sky, though I admit my first plans concerning the AMV were a bit abstract.

This is my first AMV, though I have done a bit of vidding in the past with live-action films. I'd appreciate honest criticisms of my work, and please point out areas where I can improve; I'm not out to win any awards or anything, but I would like to improve my skill at creating these kinds of vids (for anime or otherwise).

Meh. I'll checky it outy.

EDIT:

Work on video quality. For some reason, it looked really badish. Wasn't too bad, but it needed work. Song and Video seemed to sync together pretty well, but some of the scenes looked out of place and were too long Mood sync was there, but it could have used some work. Overall - 3/5 (Average)

Thanks for replying, cc!

On the first, perhaps I should get better ripping software. In truth I've only ripped a couple of discs with that software and I've gotten mixed results.

Not to put you on-spot or anything, but which scenes seemed out-of-place?
