When this arrises I always suggest the simplest method of making this work, and I've found getting VLC mediaplayer

I have VLC, but whenever I download a music video it automatically opens up in Windows Media Player. Is there a way to make the music video open up in VLC instead?

Right-click a video->Properties->Opens With->VLC
