WRONG ASPECT RATIO! >_<

Elfen Lied should be in widescreen, 16:9..

..Visual was pretty bad anyways..

I just couldn't get into the Video, it bored me pretty much, I hated the "effects" around 0:35 and think the scenes there pass by waaaaaay too fast for such a slow song.

Also..all together it seemed more like just some scenes slapped together with the song..

sry, but 1/5

(might have been 2/5 with better Quality and right aspect ratio :amv:)

This vid had nice idea, and not bad performance, but there were a few things that made it a lot weaker than it could've been.

First of all flashes - your attempt of unneccesary synch brought only feeling of "Cheesiness". Since you amde a slow video, you srslsy didn't need those flashes.

Second of all repetitions/two long scenes. That repeated scene after the kiss was really unnecessary. I mean, you get back to present time already, right? So why going back to childhood memories again? And with the same scene you showed earlier to make things worse? About two long scenes i mean mainly beggining, and ending. Especially ending...

Third of all - lip flap. That was a really minor thing that annoy me only a little, because with all the slow scenes even a small amount of it was noticable.

Lastly - Quality. It's easy to see, so I guess I don't need to say more on that topic.

All in all nice try, good song choice and quite original way of using Elven Lied but it needed a lot more polishing before releasing.

2.5/5

if any opinion would help, I believe the whole AMV was distroyed by only one thing ...

1) the puppy greets her.

2) at school, the boys kick her and the puppy.

3) instead of showing the Tree with a Rock in front of it [ as a grave ] ... hmmm ...
it would have been more easily accepted by myself if it would have shown, "her crying while holding the puppy and laying it to rest -- for the dream world does not understand a Rock and Tree as a place to burry-the-dead!

This is only the opinion from a writer of College Studies in Literature yet, seeing this misunderstanding of dream-scapes I still say she has nothing to worry about 8-) it is a good AMV and I liked it.

The reason I made it full screen was because in a privious vid I did I kept it at 16:9 and all the 'flashes' I used flashed on the black bars and it didnt look so good. And I personally like full screen better. But im sorry I bored you :)

Thank you for being so detailed :). I kept the scenes longer and kept the flashbacks to try and make it more sentimental. But I do see what you mean, thank you very much

I would have liked to be able to use a scene like that, unfortunatlly, it doesnt exist in Elfen Lied

Thank you all for watching my vid. Im sorry that some of you didnt like it, but thank you all for telling me :)

The thing is with making a widescreen source 4:3 is that it stretches the footage vertically, so that's why people are urging you to keep it at widescreen. ;)

The video was cute, and I liked the concept behind it, but I would have liked to see it fixed up a bit more. There was some awkward transitioning between scenes throughout, and the flashes were a bit too harsh for the song. However, the emotion was all there, and it's nice to see a fully sentimental Elfen Lied video. Nice job, keep it up. :)
