  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Shame you couldn't have, it was well worth it.

Excellent work and congrats on the award!

OMG I did something completly wrong with downloading this amv. This awful boring song bleeds in my ears.

I was unable to watch it all threw at the first time and I still had to force myself into this and seriously... I don´t see a reason why I should give this amv more than 3 stars. Hell I was even considering to give 2 stars.

I don´t want to be a mean, but: boring song + nothing entertaining... 3 stars are a gift this time, but don´t worry... There seam to be enough other people that like it to say that this is personal taste here. =/

I´m to tears.

Sometimes it is really hard to see amvs that can´t give me anything at all.

Hmm... I kind of see where Bauzi is coming from. It was really nice and shiney, but there really wasn't a lot there. Maybe it is because I've never seen the anime, but it seemed kind of slow. I wouldn't go as far as to say that is badly editin or badly done, I just didn't care for it personally.

Technically Wise: 4.25/5

Personally Wise: 3\5

That's your opinion, and I'm sorry you feel that way, But I do understand where your coming from. The video it's self doesn't have much in the way of entertainment value. It's more of something to see and think on. What I did was force people to have to listen to the music and watch the video to see the overall meaning of the vid, not just clip to verse (altho I do use it, everything falls back on to my overall theme). The video it is suppose to an environmental awareness type shin dig. I wanted to take that, and transcend it into the AMV medium... I personally think I did I bang on job of that.

I expect that there will be people that don't like it and it's fine with me. Thanks for at least watching it end to end.

Seeing the anime would only help, in that you'd see that the whole show is heavily environmental. I feel the meat of my vid comes from what I try to force you to think about during, and after the, video.

Thanks for watching it

Yeah, I have trouble watching AMVs with anime I haven't seen before, and I usually don't get the "whole" picture. While it's cliche...

Haven't heard much about you for a while, glad you're still around. Pretty cheesy video actually since the song was already used for several videos like this, but sometimes a little bit of sappy drama isn't bad I guess. Although, this video is nothing I'd watch to often. Kepp it up. :)

I so didn't mean to over look you man.

After your comments at the con, that pic is insanely perfect,

My stand point is if you NEED to see the show to get the idea of what I was going for. Then I didn't do a good enough job. =/

Oh wow, I haven't seen you in forever man. You haven't seen much out of me because I've been crazy busy with life and work this past year. I'm starting to get more free time so you might see some more stuff from me a little closer then a year apart, lol. As for the vid, I personally haven't done too much digging to see if this had been done before (usually if I do that I end up not making the vid), but I'm obviously gonna take your word for it, Good to see your still around man.

Hmm, very interesting. I'm always happy to see people trying to make videos that are artistic as opposed to generic action. Making people THINK while watching an AMV? *gasp* ^^
I also really, really love this song, which was another factor in my checking it out.
Overall I liked it, I'll leave you a more detailed write-up in an op. (^^)b
Congratulations on your win!
*edit* there was actually a vid done to this song to Yu-Gi-Oh in last year's AnimeBoston contest, totally blew me away, and I don't even like Yugioh...

I mentioned this in my op, but I liked the juxtaposition of the B&W (apathetic) vs color (surrealistic). Not sure if that's what you were going for, but that's what I got out of it. :)

Integer division?

Anyway, the video... more eerie than gloomy. Sorry, but as popular as this song is I've seen at least two other videos that are better than yours (one using jules and one using tears for fears) so yours gets... sadly... discarded. I don't think I've ever discarded an "award-winning video" before. 0.o

Oh, and stars? It just didn't do anything for me, didn't move me in the slightest. Also some of your editing techniques were distasteful to me. Zooming stills, etc. Some of your scene selection seemed like it was trying too hard to adhere to the lyrics. "tears are filling up there glasses" and you show someone crying. (beside the point: who doesn't even have glasses) How is that artistic? Overall it was average. 3/5
