Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

You do realize the org will host your videos for you, right?

Orwell, Some of us don't like the strings attached to LOCAL. If I could get rid of the one LOCAL I have, I'd do it.

I'll gladly donate to keep the site operational, but no one should demand I host via LOCAL.

Chainsaw, did you say Macross? I am intrigued...

I am aware that the Org will host my videos, but the way I figure it, since I dont really have the funds to donate (yet anyway) I will contribute by not bogging down my share of the bandwidth, and host it on my own servers.. perhaps in time IF I get more skill with AMVs Ill donate, and allow them to host.. but until then, this is my solution.

..there is a method to my madness =)

and yes I said Macross.. I ordered some series from them, and going to use stuff for AMVs from that.. any suggestions or tips tutorials etc would be greatly appreciated..

so what did you guys think of it for being my FIRST AMV?

No need to flare up over it, yeesh. No one was demanding a local link, I was just inquiring because most people I've seen who are brand new to the site with a video on direct don't realize the Org will host it for them.

Ch4in, I'd suggest reading the guides, especially the one to all things technical for cleaning up your footage. As far as your editing went.... there were a few things that synced, and there was some mood sync, but there were a lot of missed opportunitys. Sync to a beat, or else movement as it follows the music, or having something happening on screen as the prominement sound happens. Also, despite a couple methos tried including a download manager so the entire thing downloads, it constantly stops short at 1:46. Just freezes the player.

Edit: Forgot to mention, there's a beta version 3 of the avtech guide.

Sorry, with as many years as I've been on the internet, I forget people can't hear my internal tone. I wasn't flared up, or upset at all. Just cheerfully informative.
