markers + vegas + beat.

Post by Wished » Sun May 13, 2007 4:26 am

for every beat, i put a marker in. i wanna know if..
1) there's a way to do an effect on each beat/marker without having to clip'em all up manually. (there's a lot of beats in this certain scene.. i dont wanna do all that ><")
and
2) removing many many markers all at the same time.

thanks in advance. obviously if there isn't the shortcut way.. i'll do it the long way. =\ whatever it takes, right?

Yah, Don't be lazy. Thats what I do, and it's also why I haven't produced A single full vid since I started with vegas XD...about .. at least 3-4 months ago.

but I think there should be, and No, I have yet to find a "Remove all markers" button, or something like it.

1. you dont have to cut on every beat unless you like "seizure videos"
instead you can use the keyframes in the effects boxes if you want to play with that...

2. click one maker... hold down shift and click the last marker in that row... right click and select delete from the menu

if you want to remove ALL markers: right click and choose "markers and regions" then select "remove all"

oh thanks. I sorta wanted it so that it can transition to the next with either a big white flash or a black flash. So basically, do you know how to split the video on the timeline? I can't seem to figure it out. T-T"

And, another question, but this about how to do an "effect".
Umm.. How do I make it so that there are lines? Sort of like the music zig-zag lines. There's an acoustic guitar part and I wanted to do that with the flow of the music. I think I've seen it somewhere before, maybe I can try looking for it again. Do you need an example?

markers are orange lines that appear on the timeline:

Image

you can make them appear by placing your line where you want it and pressing the "M" key on your keyboard...

also they can be placed by playing the video and pressing the "M" key whenever you want..

pretty much you can use them to mark out any kind of changes in your video.

the more basic uses:
*where you want a specific movement to happen
*where you plan to make a cut

more "advanced" uses:
*on each syllable for lipsync
*where you want a certain effect to "peak" (or help with the effect keyframes..)
*helping you map out keyframes in pan/crop/masking
