Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

This one I took 3.5 hours on and it still sucks.
here's the problems :
Low Quality
Beginning sucks
sync is crap early on
clips are too long
font is hard to see in some places
timing is awkward
story isn't clear
seems like scenes were randomly picked
I took my time but it didn't turn out too well... please tell me what else is wrong, ok?

Ok so ... if you know what you did wrong.. then why the hell did you release the vid, instead of working on it enough to make it good? What, do you have some sort of deal that if you make enough vids in short amount of time you will be accepted to heaven? Or perhaps there is a psycho standing next to you telling you that if you don't release another vid he's gonna rape you? Srly stop wasting people time here....

It can sometimes take few days just re-encoding new versions one after another after fixing some small glitches that were noticed at the last moment... Deal with the fact that this hobby will eat your time, or find some other hobby that will give resulst with small amount of time needed...kickass331 wrote:I would work on them but it takes about 3 hours to compile, half an hour to re-encode, and about 45 minutes to upload

ok I give up
. This guy surelly don't know how to fix what he thinks is wrong, I mean if you know what fails in your vid you should work on that before releasing it as Szwagier said. [sarcasm]Ok why not in your next one you just throw an episode of any anime and let it play[/sarcasm] :/.
I'm starting to think that this guy just wants some attention by wasting our time with pointless vids everyday. We should stop replying to him in his topics and let them die :/. At least I won't see a video from him and I won't try to help him any more since he really is not listening to common sense and to our tips nuff said

Well... I've seen your 12th vid and I guess you've already broken record in speed of development so you can relax now and try a different approach. I have a few suggestions for you:
First: Do some planning and think of some concept behind the vid. Watch the whole series and look for pieces of footage that go well with the song.
Second: If you notice that anything is wrong with the vid, go back and rework it. Make it better and better until you can say "Yeah, I made quite a piece of good work". Doesn't matter that it took X hours to export. Half-assed work is the same as no work and the time behind it is just plain wasted.
Third: Don't try to be quick. Work your 3.5 hours a day (or how much time you usually spent on you vids) and come back after at least half a month with the polished result. One vid with 40 hours of work spent is forty times better than ten vids with 4 hours of work spent.
No one will make your vid for you and only you alone can get better.
Come back with a result or don't come back at all (or the people around here will eat you alive)
I sincerely hope you'll get it right this time. Next time you release a vid (I mean a nice vid, not some random music and anime thrown in a blender), make a "Finally a great video by kickass331" announcement thread title of which should better be a truth.

Not necessarily. I've seen videos people have spent over a YEAR working on and it still sucks. It's not how long you edit, but how much effort you put in to make it good in whatever time it takes.bombush wrote: One vid with 40 hours of work spent is forty times better than ten vids with 4 hours of work spent.
