Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Well,you synched some parts but let others.
General good use of overlays but you insited on them more than you should have.And judging from the editing,you could have given it a bit more effort.

A 3/5 from me.You could do it better surely!!:D

yeah, not the best amv... or anywhere close really ^_^ but you really have a great editing style, just a few technical bits and opiniotive preferances to iron out. I think you'll do great here if you keep this up!

Dis better be worth the download Ben and if there's no Mecha-rape I'll be dissapointed
ok ok downloading if i feel strongly i'll edit later... unless i'm too drunk

*edits*
gaahhh! erm it needs work.
PAR it's way off.
that zigagging on the black image lines is horrible.... I got that once when i did an avisynth script whoops;
Warpsharp()
Fastlinedarken()
Warpsharp()
I've seen someone esle get those annoying lines another way... but i can't remember and i'm not sure what went wrong in your case.

0.40 the repeated segment to try and lipsync is really obvious and the lipsyn is way off.
all of your transitions need work, cross fades or fade out to black/white whatever.
The overlay although a good idea doesn't change when it needs to or stop/start when it needs to
There are visual quality issues... lots of em... i suggest that you Read <a href=http://www.a-m-v.org/guides/avtech31/>ErMaC & AbsoluteDestiny's Friendly AMV Guides</a> (if you already have... then do it again put more of it into practice).
And it's really easy to edit to this song, so i was expecting a bit moar.
the sync is off in about 40% of the video
linkin park is done to DEATH
The text on your credits was hard to read and on the screne too long
1.9/5

BUT now that all that nasty stuff is said...
The sync is nicely done with movement in about 60% of the video
you're scene selection was 90% good.
although linkin' park is done to death i don't mind this version
Your buildup and story were nicely done.
Nice idea on the outro
And the others are right... much potential you would also benefit from a beta tester looking over your stuff.
If you'd like any help on your next vid let me know.
new banzors in the making :p

Actually, having a betatester isn't something you should feel stupid for, i actually had crackthesky as a betatester for lots of videos. And if even a "coach" is what you need, it's better, because you want to learn and improve and that's the real point, never lose the fun, and if your motivation is make a masterpiece and have fun, unless you lose it, go on. Asking help is what everyone at start should do ( I haven't started yesterday and I ACTUALLY need help ).

lmao! I don't know how much coaching you'll get from around here, but you can get a butt load of tips just by asking.

First of all I'd follow Autraya's advice and do a little work for yourself. Instead of going through the typical guide Autraya linked to there, though, I'd start with Zarxrax's version 3.0 beta guide it's MUCH easier to understand than that older one. Not to say the older one is bad at ALL, it is MUCH more thorough and will tell you what you need to know but also ALOT about what you DON'T need to know. IMHO it's just confusing.

Second, after you think you got your hand at making decent amvs I'd check out the old guide. It still might be pretty confusing though lol. You may even look into if your high school or college offers an AV (audio-visual) class, that may help.

Third, I'd peruse the help forums here. Usually there's a question or two you may understand and the people there are very helpfull. Heck, you may even be able to answer or at least pose a discussion on one or two yourself!

Fourth, and possibly all throughout this process (depending on how annoying you want to be... <g>), you may want to find yourself a nice 'mentor' or just a buddy, most likely using one of those icons at the end of our posts. But don't be easily dissuaded. Not all of us like to be bugged lol. We work on our own amvs as well you know.
