DBZ really went to hell.
(Here comes the burn.)
As the series moved on they become powerful as hell, but still run into (whether androids or big pink monsters) enemies that always kick there ass at the beginning, but they always barley pull through. WTF. Plus what happen to the cats and dog people. The ancient animals and all that. When it first came out in the old movies and the saga from Ratiz to Freiza was cool. I was also pshyc about the new one with androids, but it wasen't all that good. Neither was the Buu.
Dragon Ball is turning out to be cooler than DBZ.
Well I said what I wanted to say. Burn me, agree with me. I really don't care.

A lot of people end up going back to watch the original DragonBall and feel the same way. Personally, Goku vs. Piccolo at the 23rd Tenka-ichi Budouki is my favorite part of the entire series (be it DB, DBZ, or DBGT).
The Cell saga comes in a close second, though. While it's true that it all boils down to "enemy initially stronger, hero triumphs at end"... what DOESN'T boil down to that, DBZ or not? The issues with time travel, the past coming to bite you in the ass (Red Ribbon Army leftovers!)... I thought, and still think... that's pretty damn cool.

DragonBall really goes for "fun," while DragonBall Z goes for the "excitement." GT.... well... *snore*
Actually, it gets interesting when it's over. Wish I was kidding.

I enjoyed dragon ball to a certain extent. I was a huge DBZ fan until i started getting bored with it. And I found better anim eout there.
However, I did watch DBGT on CN. Man that was horrible. The animation was good but they way Funi did it, they screwed the entire thing up. Pan's voice...ughhh..hard to to listen to.....so that's why you should never watch DBGT on CN.......matter of fact, don't watch any anime on CN

Re: DBZ really went to hell.
That's a generic problem with fighting series. Every subsequent enemy has to be more powerful than the last, so it's no surprise that DBZ gets less compelling later you go into the series, at least until it focuses on teenage Gohan.Hart in the darkness wrote:(Here comes the burn.)

Well for me, i use to like Dragon Ball and stuff until they took it of the regular tv networks. So i sort of loss interest in it, but when it can back. I noticed that as they were getting stronger, their enemies would get stronger too. It was a bit reptative to see them power up and all and they seemed invincible, but then comes an enemy who was stronger so they had to get stronger too. I dont kno, i just got bored of it so i stopped altogether. I figured that there was better anime out there that i would enjoy.

I still need to sell all my old DBZ video tapes. Could bring in a month's worth of rent. 8)
