taking your non anime girlfriend to a convention

Well, it might help if you actually tried showing her anime before taking her to a convention. Really, would you want to go to a convention for something you know little about?

Bring back OT.

If she has seen it and just dislikes it, maybe you could try showing her another series, or just handing her some cash so she can go shopping while you're having fun with your otaku friends.

Agreed. But since she knows where your going you could just go without her. No one is forcing you to take her with you...

hmmm well, i'd need a girlfriend first off ... secondly i'd need to go to con's more often ... i've only been to one so far ...

but yea ... lets say i had a girl friend ... i wouldn't bring her to a convention unless she liked anime as well. If she didn't have an opinion ... well i'd try and get her into it based on what live action shows she likes, then bring her to a con. If she just hated anime ... then i'd have no idea what she'd see in me ...

I got lucky. My girlfriend loves anime.
