Mahoromatic: REALLY good. Only "kinda" romantic since the boy hero is only 14. Lots of T&A. If I would have watched it first I wouldn't have let my son watch it. I'm too much of a weenie to make him stop halfway through though. As far as the ending, oh man, I was so shook up I was almost sick. Seriously, I wanted to kill someone. Don't let that keep you from watching it, but be prepared.
Love Hina: Very funny "do they or don't they" harem show.
I My Me (Strawberry Eggs): I just finished watching this again tonight with my kids. God, what a gut-wrenching ending. This gets better with every viewing but seriously, don't be doing something that requires you to talk during the last three episodes because you will be unable to.
Kare Kano: They should have stopped at Episode 18. Episode 18 is a stand-up-and-applaud episode, then after that you're like, what the hell?
Boys Be: I'm only a couple of episodes into it. It's romance stories told from the boys' POV. I like it.
Sakura Diaries: Not sure how I feel about this one. It's a lot more sex related than my usual fare and def. NOT one for kids. I never did like the guy and I think that hurt it.
Onegai Teacher: Awesome, fun, sad... aw man, I have to go watch it again.
Koi Kaze: I've heard nothing but great things about this. I bought it but haven't watched it yet. It deals with incest but supposedly in a delicate manner. I'm hoping it's along the lines of I My Me (Strawberry Eggs) where it addresses a taboo topic but doesn't get heavy handed.
Onegai Twins: A must see if you liked Onegai Teacher, but it will be a let down. I'm glad I saw it and I have a perfect song chosen for an AMV, but I can't seem to get re-interested enough to make it.
Someday's Dreamers: Now this isn't your typical romance in that the heroine isn't the party involved in the romance, but a romance is a central part of the story. This is about a novice girl magician, and it has one of the most satisfying endings I've ever seen. I literally stood up and clapped and cried at the end. (yeah, I'm a guy.) And the show is full of moments like that. I'll just mention the one with the soccer playing kid. I won't give details but it absolutely killed me.
Ai Yori Aoshi: Aoi is in love with her whole being. Sometimes like in Love Hina or Onegai Teacher it comes across as infatuation or lust. Aoi is 100% completely in love. The story only gets weak when they quit focusing on that part of the story and chase the fan service.
Chobits: My kids watched it. I saw part and it seemed okay. I'd make it a lower priority.
OK, if you're gonna get em, here's the order:
1) Love Hina
2) Someday's Dreamers
3) Kare Kano
4) Ai Yori Aoshi
5) I My Me (Strawberry Eggs)
6) Onegai Teacher
7) Mahoromatic
8) Boys Be
9) Onegai Twins
10) Chobits
11) Sakura Diaries
and Koi Kaze will probably end up somewhere around 3-5.
