I used to think I was hardcore. I have a couple hundred DVD's, I've ordered R2's from japan, and I got my wife a big stuffed Neko bus. Heck, I even talked my wife into going to AX again next year dressed up as Yukari-chan while I go as The giant cat thing that's chiyo's dad.

All that changed while I was at AX. I saw man-faye. He's a huge pear shaped guy with a massive ass. He walks around eating banannas.

I'm not hardcore.
My eyes are still hurting.

^^^ You're just weak. Manfaye is not in the least disturbing or gross. Just hairy.

Oh, and admitting you're hard core is like saying you have good karma. You always become less of what you were.

(I'm no where near hardcore. At all.)

That's what I thought, until he started eating bananas.

I can't be called hardcore but seeing that i spent all the money i saved on berserk, van hellsing trigun and gundam seed , the full sesions, and being amongst the few who know what anime are in my city, than i might be called hardcoer, but i really can't be compared to the guys around here (i'm a freshman compared to them and really have some catching up to do)

I think you can consider yourself a bit hardcore if you import stuff direct from japan and pay very high import fees.

Nothing does. I've only been into anime since 2002, and I have seen very little, relatively speaking.

Have it sent to your address as a "gift" for personal use exemptions on duty.

Or have it marked as old N*SYnc and Backstreet Boys albums and then perhaps the U.S. Department Of Homeland Sanity and the Ministry of Health will pay you big scrath for helping their "Hazardous Waste Disposal Programme"

I like to think I'm the same way. I'm not hardcore, I've seen only a few series, out of thousands most likely, and most of this year's releases I don't care for.
