jap/english/german/spanish/french ????

Uh, I'm confused. Is this thread talking about manga translations or another "dub vs sub" anime thing.

If you're talking about reading manga, I read it in japanese.

I read my manga in german, because it would be expensive to import them for example: I´ve seen manga in UK for 6 an a bit pount and since they cost only 5 euro here thats really expensive

. But with anime DVD´s it´s different. Most of my DVD are english but I watch them in japanes with sub.

I really like japanese voices.

i definitely prefer it Jap (even thou i speak and understand lil of the language...its just seem appropriate for the characters (ex: Kurama's Jap seiyuu Megumi Ogata really suits him even though shes a girl...)...English is fine but they tend to make the character voicing sound so gundarn annoying at times (take Tea in yugioh, shes annoying in both ver. but slightly lessen in Jap ver.)...French i dont really fancy...i guess ima not really expose to French ver?

if this is about what preference of language anyone prefer in reading their manga then its English for me...but again Jap ver is still better adds originality

Even if it has ben released here, I'm still very likely to get it in original Japanese.

The only time I would get it in English is if I can't get it easily in Japanese (basically, if it's a discontinued title and that means getting it used second hand from Amazon.co.jp, which is usually difficult becuase the seller has to be willing to ship to the US

)

95% of my manga colection is in original Japanese. And yes, I can read and understand a very tiny amount of it.

Well, I do read manga in English quite a bit too, though that generally happens to be scanlations rather than paper manga. I could read it in a couple of other languages, but I can't say I've ever come across any manga that wasn't either English or Japanese (no wait, I'm lying... there was that one time when I accidentally found a Portugese translation of something....)

I have some relatives in Europe who send me odd Anime/Manga presents sometimes, I own quite a few random French DVDs with Japanese language and french subtitles, its scary when the parts of it I DO understand turns out to be because of the Japanese, and not the english... this includes some episodes of Hellsing, Fushigi Yugi... and some others I cant remember ^^;
