Friend of my dad's brings up that she heard something about robotics on the radio (probably some doom's day stuff) and I go to show her Yamaha's singing robot, which then leads to me showing her the live Hatsune Miku concert, and seeing the amazement on her face...

"Are those real people out there?"

"The audience is real people, but the girl on stage isn't. She's a cartoon"

"Wow, that's amazing! I want to go to one of those concerts!"

Blowing someone's mind.

A few days ago, I got the opportunity to hang out with a co-worker in the break room before work. He's a minister, and a cool guy, about old enough to be my dad. We get along swimmingly, and he knows that I'm a big geek, and so when he walked up, he asked me to what I was listening on my .mp3 player. I said nothing, reset the song, and handed him the headphones.

He almost cried one manly tear as he enjoyed this little gem.

He said that it was beautiful and was absolutely floored when I told him it was from a videogame.

I wish that I could expose everyone to my love of game music like this, because I hate telling people that I love game soundtracks and having them automatically judge me as having bad or bizarre taste in music - but I'll settle for blowing just one person's mind at a time if I must.
