That actually does kinda bring up a point. I can see some videos getting a few votes in one category and a few votes in another then end up losing both because the votes were split. Perhaps a discussion on what videos belong in what categories is in order?

I thoroughly enjoyed reading all those. It's funny to see how wide the variety of opinions are on the same videos. I also enjoy how people who reviewed them obviously must have a video in the contest though they 'reviewed' them all so somewhere hidden in there is their review of their own video.... Revised version of the notes I took when watching the vids, taking out as much dickish flaming as I could, also a lot of my notes I used descriptions of the vids to remind myself which ones they were without having to rewatch.. I tried to use 3 guidelines for judging them. Creativity, Feeling and Editing. I also removed my list of categories I planned on putting them in. Also the 'feeling' part isn't just for drama IE it's a comedy did I find it funny? Basically I use that to mark how well the video was able to evoke the desired response from me. I think I had more fun trying to pick out which editor did which video than I did watching most of them.

Video uses the retarded anime colorful but makes it
look much better than it actually was not a bad video
gratuitous panty shots but that was the point of the video a
bit meh imo far from bad but nothing extraordinary

I have a feeling this is [Editors name removed] video. Very tight lipsync
had more of a music video feel to it.. A different video, it was good but a bit too long.

speckle in the same spot for this long... if the editor
didnt feel like making different versions of the filter they
could have made the filter lighter and added in moving
static.. Okkay well action sync is enough to make it an
acceptable video effects were done poorly and did nothing
but take away from the vid.

Edit- In the places I wrote that I had removed flaming for the most part it was lack of better words to use, at some points it was me relentlessly bashing something about the video and in others it was a random rant I decided to go on about either the source music or anything else the video had made me think about that had no bearing on the actual editing itself. For the videos I left nothing but that it would usually indicate I did not like it and instead of listing anything constructive I could say to the editor I merely bashed it or ranted about something as at the time of writing these I didn't have any intention to post them and just use them as personal notes for the nominating/voting. The videos I did not bother to put scores for are those I simply did not like enough to bother to grade them.

odd... very odd... kinda creepy akira with nothing but
static 30 odd seconds long.. I kept waiting for something to
pop out but it didnt... I like it. I dont know if the editor
made it as a joke or something but it actually had a bit of
an effect on me.. creepy and the scene choices with the
static and fuzz on screen... it actually managed to tell a
story in 30 seconds and using nothing but static... I'm
impressed. I like this 30 second video probably much more

sync ive seen in a LA video) actually that was only in one
section the rest turned into lip flap uhh a song with the
lyrics 'so serious' set to dark knight. umm not much going
for it other than that. Editing was okay but the whole video
was a gimmick. not horrible but just needed more to go on than
a single line in the lyrics.

Edit- In the places I wrote that I had removed flaming for the most part it was lack of better words to use, at some points it was me relentlessly bashing something about the video and in others it was a random rant I decided to go on about either the source music or anything else the video had made me think about that had no bearing on the actual editing itself. For the videos I left nothing but that it would usually indicate I did not like it and instead of listing anything constructive I could say to the editor I merely bashed it or ranted about something as at the time of writing these I didn't have any intention to post them and just use them as personal notes for the nominating/voting. The videos I did not bother to put scores for are those I simply did not like enough to bother to grade them.
