Nah, that video is totally Oto, FC, and Kit. I went and suggested this to the video's creator, who agreed and was amused by the idea. It also helps that all three of them are here right now and have been hanging out together all week. And me and Brad almost never hang out with just Jay, it's usually more people. D:

So, these are just my opinions of the videos that we all watched last night, not everyone's (they'll have to post their own if they want) and I realize they sound pretty harsh, but I'd rather be honest, hopefully it's seen that way and not as flaming or anything. There were only a spare few videos that I enjoyed and would want to watch outside of this contest.

1. Well, the boner synch was amusing, but it seemed much like every other Colorful! vid I'd seen.

2. Lip synch is really well done, but the video was dragged out to the point where I kinda lost interest and the joke became stale.

3. I haven't seen the anime (despite having made a video with it) so I had trouble following the video, especially with the repetitive lyrics. Nicely edited, but didn't really seem to go anywhere.

4. While I can appreciate the work that went into this, I don't understand what it's supposed to be about exactly (though our group decided it was the female reproductive system D:) and there's not much entertainment value.

5. Took a moment for me to get into this, it seemed to end right when I was like WOO THIS IS GONNA BE AWESOME! Hopefully the editor just sent this part to Pro and has more in the works.

6. Unlike others, I don't see much resemblance to Spoil besides use of the same anime. However, I did see a video that is almost entirely openings with no sense of originality applied. :/

7. Technically sound, a decent character profile, but if the response from our group is to be trusted, hard to get into without prior knowledge of the anime. The connection between King Arthur and Saber is lost, it looks kinda like "Oh, a bunch of legendary kings and then...a blonde girl with a sword?"

8. Fairly amusing, but looks like someone just sent it to Pro because there isn't SAST this year.

9. When the editor chose to follow the lyrics, this was amusing, but most of it was just fight scenes and whatnot that made no lyrical sense. The video had potential, but the comedic element is owed entirely to the song and not the editing.

10. Others in the group that watched it at our place enjoyed the video, but I found it wholely unremarkable.

11. I am amused by the pairing, but it would've made a better short segment than a full video.

12. Okay, this one was way easier to follow than the last Kimi ni Todoke video. Simple, cute, conveyed a story, didn't need much else.

13. This video bugged the hell outta me. I don't know if the editor intentionally used depressing scenes that were opposite of the song's uplifting message to be funny, or if they were trying to make it a serious video, but either way it didn't work.

14. Well, the pairing is obvious (and I've seen numerous versions on Youtube) but holy jittery lip synch batman! When people talk and their faces look like they are trying to escape, you should re-evaluate your lip synch method.

15. What was this? Just one episode with Poker face over it? I am disappoint.

16. I haven't seen many Blassreiter vids, but the source looks like it could make good AMV material and I wish the synch was much tighter on this vid.

17. This was like watching the video through a dirty window. It ruined the entire video for me.

18. Awkward use of "effects", and a few orphan frames. Also, the phone call that lasted half the video. "What was that? Sorry, I can't hear you over the overlays."

19. Well, to be honest, if there was a "Best Unintentional comedy" category, this would win.

20. Relies almost entirely on the song, save for the middle section, and the lip synch needs work.

21. Well, probably the only Steamboy video I've seen that's good, but not anything that I really enjoy.

22. I would suggest waiting until more Cat Shit One comes out (if it's going to) before attempting this video. As is, it lacks interesting scenes.

23. Edited well enough, but for as sad as I thought this video would be....it kinda lacked emotional impact.

24. Ah, yet another well-made comedic video that didn't really hit well with me because of random action filler. (Wrath and Gluttonly fight scenes? Really?)

25. Started out good, a well-suited song+anime pairing, but it degraded as the video progressed, in both lyric synch and action synch. After the first 30 seconds, it just fell apart.

26. Giggled at few scenes, ("punch our your lights" elicited a giggle from our group) but it didn't keep this up. A so-so video, punctuated with a few amusing bits.

27. Now, I've done my fair share of speeding up scenes, but this overdid it. I'm a huge fan of internal sync and this had a decent amount, but it was overshadowed by the speeding up, sadly.

28. We turned this one off because the sound was freaking out our cat. I had already watched it on my own, but I don't really get into this kinda thing and didn't think much of it.

29. A fun video that was generally enjoyed but for me...it's just not quite there. Missed the mark by just a bit.

30. Considering that this video was centered around the idea expressed in the text, the creator should've done something with the text, made it bigger, worked it into the scenes, something. As it is now, it looks like closed captioning or something.

31. Up there with the better action vids in Pro, but outside of the opening rainbow dribbling synch, the effects were horrendous, overdone. Pictures on a wall, paint splatter and flourish bullshit made me sigh. If the creator were to take out the cheesy, overused effects, I'd have fucking loved this video.

32. Simple and fun, I enjoyed this one! Great pacing, internal synch and the "give me a raise" part amused me greatly.

33. A very poorly executed character profile, I've heard such good things about this show but videos like this really turn me off of it.

34. I've never been a fan of the whole "WTF for the sake of being WTF" thing and this video is no different. I will give it credit for NOT being a sleeping with Hinako video that falls under the "song is about sleeping" category, but that's about it.

35. A fun video, I rather enjoyed it (and the song keeps getting stuck in my head). I haven't seen the show, and I can't really connect with the characters, but I can appreciate it as just "people having fun". It could be shorter, but I suppose it's alright at its current length.

36. There are some amusing lyric synch parts, but this was a little too slow paced for my taste. (and I think the :Approved opening thing shoulda been taken off, though I do like the yellow with black).

37. Editors looking for how to do a video with proper emotional impact could take a lesson from this one. I've never seen the source, but I got pulled right into the video. There are a few spots I feel could've been pulled out, because the point had already been driven home, but on the whole, I liked it.

38. I haven't seen any Get Smart openings, but I really hope it didn't look anything like this. >_<

39. The first half of this video is....not great, but I'm glad I stuck around for the latter half.

40. Yeah, once again, coulda made the same video a lot shorter. We get the joke...

41. We get the joke...you don't need to add the "Paperback Writer", driving it home a bit much. And the joke gets tired really quickly.

42. A couple semi-amusing segments, but mostly the usual Hell-style video that didn't really make me laugh, just kinda smirk sometimes.

43. Upbeat, fun. I have a feeling I might get more into it if I'd seen the anime (or at least knew anything about that character) but the video was entertaining enough as is.

44. Yeah, not sure what the creator was going for there. Serious? Fun? No idea, it was just a confusing watch.

45. I'll admit that the hair synch (I didn't know there could be such a thing) got a good reaction out of me, but the rest was very...well...WTF.

46. A nice video, but I find myself confused with the part where she gets shot. It's my understanding that she survives it, but there needs to be some sort of "recovery" scene to ease my (and possibly other people's) confusion with this.

47. This walks a line between cute romance and cute comedy and I could do with either taking out some of the added "funny" bits, or adding more to make it more defined as one or the other.

48. Well, it's full screen, but that's about the only difference between almost every other Karas vid I've seen. Just couldn't get into it.

49. Probably a good video for fangirls of these anime, but the effects are way too cheesy for me to really get into it.

50. One of the more amusing live action videos I'd ever seen, the group here really loved this video. The connection between the sound of the song and the sound Godzilla makes is pretty accurate.

51. Seen a lot of Crank LAMVs and this one was much like the others. I've seen the movies and thought they were awesome, but almost every video I've seen with it has just been LOTS OF STUFF HAPPENING REALLY FAST TO MUSIC and not much else.

52. Kinda got into it, but a few things threw off the flow for me (the text for "obsession" and the butterflies and whatnot could've been done better). No idea what I's Pure is, but this might've been easier to really get into if his obsession was a more recognizable character.

53. The thing that annoys me about this video is that her word choices don't sound like something that a person would realistically say or even think ("hag"? Really?) The concept just wasn't believable and wouldn't stick.

54. Probably my pick for best comedy, but again with many of the "comedy" vids in this year's Pro, so much action filler! (Also, godix's, Koop's, and Kit's comments are pretty accurate, but I wouldn't say anything like that >_> and Koop's party hat is backwards. :O)

55. This is hands down (or up!) the best live action video I've ever seen. The way that ramping, internal synch and scene selection are used is just phenomenal. No question, this is my pick for best in show. It is the exact kind of action editing that I love. Someone described it as a "tribute to movies of today" and I find this very fitting.

56. Used a few scenes I hadn't seen in other Perfect Blue videos, but the storyline was pretty much the same as all the others, not really much there for me to enjoy.

57. I think I laughed at...one segment? It was like "Adult Swim Hell 0". If I wanted to be amused by Adult Swim shows, I'd just watch them, rather than see some cruise-control lip synch blipvert. :x

58. Song about sex + hentai = video, adding a badly-done circle effect makes it a Euphoria parody? Ugh, do not want.

59. I guess I'm asking a bit too much, expecting hentai vids to be well-edited, but I guess I've only seen a handful of those anyway. And almost never in Pro. Seeing this pairing got my hopes up, and then they were dashed to pieces rather quickly when I started watching.

60. Trolling Pro for the sake of trolling Pro wasn't funny the first time, and isn't funny the second time. It's just kind of....old and tired. A bit sad.

Hahah, don't take those seriously, Code - Pro is about fun mostly anyways, most of these aren't "Pro" in a sense we usually consider that word ;D

Oh no, it's not about any reviews of my videos, it's because I had the mistake of watching the more "mature" videos, since I have to rate them anyway for the contest and now I've lost any hopes of unseeing them. xD That's... Not my cup of tea.

Hahahah, you have to be prepared for that, yeah XD

But second year is always easier, this year is actually fairly weak compared to the last one (but has more H videos, iirc)

I didn't watch them. They're clearly marked as H on the files, so they can be avoided. (people entering with content like that have to be prepared for people potentially not watching them *shrugs*)

Being honest, the influx of live action videos is quite nice. 2008's Pro Contest had only one live action entry (to Jackie Chan's Police Story), but since then there's a huge flood of them. The only field left that needs some entries is in original animation work (of which there was only one video in this contest). It'll be interesting to see if that starts picking up next year. :awesome:

TBH, this statement really just urks me. Are you saying that people who enter a Live Action video or people who enter a drama video should also be prepared for their videos not to be watched simply because others who entered the contest don't like that kind of content? Because despite this being about H content, that same argument can be used for any other kind of video that was entered in this contest. The mentality that you can just 'skip' a video purely based on it's content is not in any way fair to the creator who entered the video, or any other entrant in the contest. As a judge (and anyone who enters this contest is one) you are suppose to be unbiased and judge all videos based on their own merits, even if you don't like it. Isn't that the purpose of this contest? You enter with the mindset that your entry will be judged by a group of your peers. I remember seeing very similar comments about the H vids in previous years, and last year there wasn't even enough votes for the H vids for an award despite there being enough entries and Haunter's entry being more then good enough to deserve one. (my video was in the contest purely for shock value, his had a well thought out, edited, and funny story) Sure, maybe no one else thought the same way as I do, but perhaps too many people just skipped the H vids all together?

And to be more on topic with the H content in the contest. You have to sign a waver stating that you are old enough to view said content (or have permission to) when you enter. That to me is also your statement that you will watch said content. After all, if you are not going to watch that content, why do you need to sign such a form? People who enter this contest should know that kind of content is going to be there and be prepared to have to watch and judge it.
