The entry form lists parody as a category. Is this some form of error?

I personally think this category could house many of the non Right-out comedies but there is some debate as to whether this category really exists.

Could you please clear this up for us?

I am terribly sorry about this omission. This explains why I have yet to receive a parody entry.

Ok here's the deal. When the theme segment was added to the contest after the rules were written the segment about parodies was overwritten. Blame me I did not read the online posts. This will explain why there are references in the document to "Anime Music Videos & Parody Contest" as well as the Parody option on the PDF. Basically this is for blipvert segments people like to make these days.

Here is the info about the parody option:

"A parody contest is available this year. This is not a music video but it must conform to the same content/formatting rule requirements as music video entries. There is not a traditional trophy prize yet for this event yet. We are doing this as a test run to see about adding this content formally in the future."

Once again I wish to apologize for this oversight.

Yo... I was curious about something that I never even saw coming. When I was uploading, I tried to open a folder on my system, and it crashed Windows, which in turn crashed Internet Explorer (which I was using to upload). So... I think I got a partial entry on the server.

Since I don't know exactly what made it on there, I'm currently uploading again, except I tacked 'RESEND' in big caps onto the ends of the filenames.

So, I'm wondering this: are the coordinators going to catch something like that? Will they get the right version of my video? I'd hate to have a freak accident like that screw up my chances of having my video shown at the con.

Thanks.

So do we get like any confirmation that our video made it okay?

or is it going to be a mass list posted later?

Outlaw has been sending e-mails to people after he checks the amv for problem. In either case (pass or fail) he'll send a message. It just takes a while to process the entries.
