I don't see what caused the outage. Hopefully it was just a fluke.

I have been informed I left out the ability to reset your passwords! Hopefully y'all actually voted in the Category phase (this gentleman didn't) and still remember your passwords. If not, I'll add the reset in sometime before the weekend.

I feel bad asking this (don't want to create extra work for you), but would it be possible to add a category with a Y/N vote for "Videos can only win one award." (If a video wins in multiple categories, one category will go to the next runner-up.)

It seemed like a number of people liked this idea when it was mentioned in the thread before.

I'm sorry, I just spent ~6 hours getting voting working at all, and the password reset is still broken. I'm afraid this will have to be considered for next year.

I guess it's up to the people then. Personally, I'm trying to vote for a different video for each category, though I gotta admit it's hard ;_;

I continue to believe that, if you are voting Best Drama, you should be voting for the best drama in the category. If you are considering another factor instead of it's dramatic use of audio and video, such as its placement in another category, then you're not judging best drama. You're judging best drama that isn't also X. Yes, we do this in Expo, and yes, nothing in the rules state you can't do it with your vote in Pro. It is your vote. Just my two cents.

You are right, but if my vote for Best Drama is the same for two other categories... I honestly prefer to be voting for my second choice. I'm basically doing what Swans suggested, by selecting my own runner ups (since you already said it's not an option for this year).

But yeah, it's my opinion only!

And when a bunch of people follow suit but have different runners-up and different categories they choose runners-up in, that awesome video you thought would win everything and you thought was the best, insteads wins nothing.

At least the meta-voting keeps everyone in suspense and keeps everything interesting though. :P

No video should win everything that's my point :( that's why seeing the same videos on different categories upsets me. :/

Historically there's generally a video that takes at least 2 categories. If you don't personalty believe that it deserves to that's up to you to decide. I don't personally like seeing videos with 2, 3 or 4 categories, but generally speaking the video that does is really, really good. That's what's great about peer voting, some people might want to see a video win multiple awards and will vote as such. Its up to everyone to decide their own vote and see how things turn out. :up:

True, I have no problem with a video winning multiple. just means you gotta try harder. I was shocked I didn't even make it into the final running. I didn't expect to win anything in comedy with the vid as there were a couple of videos I felt were better, but I figured I'd at least make it into the top 5. I guess people are afraid of nominating a video that makes a few racist jokes.
Gimme a minute, I'll make a cool one....
