Everyone's waiting for the official announcement. Geoff (Superios) said it won't actually be up for another week or two.

But the winners can all be found here:

I can honestly say I do not know, lol. Infact the only AMV I saw all weekend that had to do with Otakon's stuff was Vlads.

As for Geoff announcing the winners, you guys will have to wait till he has access to a computer ><

Easier to just follow the link.

I'm sorry to bother anyone, but I am trying to track down a video that was in the prescreenings. I was trying to find it on the org, or anywhere, but cannot. On the prescreening ballot, the video was listed as:

Title: The Boney King of Nowhere
Footage: Nekojiru-Sou (Cat Soup)
Audio: Radiohead - There There

I tried to find a creator listed for this video title on hackerzc's site:

http://westware.8m.com/TEMP/Overflow.html

...but the title isn't listed anywhere on it. Did anyone see a video using Cat Soup in the overflow tapes? If so, do they know who created it? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Done. Guarding.

Nope, sorry. At the prescreenings, the title cards for the videos didn't have who created them on them.

Shouldn't all coordinators for a con as big as Otakon be required to have basic resources - such as a car to go to meetings, a phone number, and a computer with Internet access?

I know that the prescreening forms did not have the creators listed (the prescreenings were blind), but the creators' names were on the overflow tapes at the con. My question was, did anyone see this video on the overflow tapes at the con, because the name of the creator would have been before/after the video then.

Yes they should in my opinion. Most of the AMV community already knows about the problems that came up because of Geoff's lack of communication resources.

This was addressed at the Feedback session on Sunday of the con. Geoff defended himself by saying "I check my email religiously ONCE A WEEK"..... I heard people laugh, and someone asked "Is he serious?".
The feedback session was open to anyone, so I think I can say that stuff without worrying about getting chewed out.

I'm not sure what is going on next year. I keep hearing different things from different people. One says Geoff won't be doing the contest, another says he'll be doing the contest AND taking over the fan parody stuff...
So who knows?

If anyone has any concerns about anything go ahead and email the programming head with those. I know a number of people were unhappy with a number of things that happened involving the contest, and a few were my fault (like the Finalist announcment screwup was me in a hurry to get it out, so I missed a name).
What it comes down to is you guys ARE the contest, and it really is for you guys. The contest is also a major event now, up there with the cosplay and the concert (it draws members). So if you have something to say, then please do.

Cat soup.... hmmm... was that the one where is had this woman get choped apart, fly around the room, then put back together by the wizard guy? If so, that video got cut from the overflows for being too gory.

I was very upset that the video wasn't shown in some capacity at Otakon. It made a very strong impression on me at the prescreenings. I thought the video was very well made and suited the music very well. The woman chopped in half was very disturbing, but objectively I don't think the violence was any more graphic than, say, the X video that did get shown in the contest.

I remember Geoff proclaiming that there was no way the video would be shown in any form at the contest. I feel very strongly (and indicated on my prescreening ballot) that something of that quality deserved to be shown somehow, even if at a separate screening late at night. That would have held Geoff more accountable because a lot more people could have seen the video and judged for themselves if it was too extreme or not.

Can you at least publish the name of the creator?
