Thanks for the feedback, folks. I realize that there's going to be some division between opinions, as a number of people are wanting this project to be action-oriented like the first, whereas others are looking for a project with more meaning behind the tracks. Hopefully, if you don't like certain parts of the mix, you'll still manage to find agreeable tracks in other parts of it.
masterGT wrote:The transitions sound very well, except the second one at 00:52. There is a short pause (this is probably because of ripping - the program made a pause between the 2 tracks), you should get rid of this, trying to make the transition as smooth as on the CD.
Yeah, that part has been giving me nothing but trouble since I first started messing with it. For some reason, the end of "Last Train Home" keeps adding in popping noises in the very last second or two - and I don't hear them normally. I was trying to just cut out the pops without breaking the flow too much, but I still notice the jump there too. If anyone has that Lostprophets CD and thinks they can fix the transition, I would totally welcome a .wav of that little section. My efforts just aren't producing anything better than that.

On that note, I've posted the track divisions. This is exactly what's at the top of the main post right now:
Currently, we're in the auditioning phase of the project. Please refer to the bold section entitled "Auditions" for information. Those not (generally) following the format I laid out will not be considered for a place in the project. Audio requirements under "The Democracy Mix" have been removed (since they're no longer useful) and replaced with track information and downloads for the full mix and individual .wavs. Auditions end on January 24th.

Potential beta testers should refer to the bolded section "Betas and Finals" and then to the "Auditions" section. Auditions for this spot technically end on January 24th as well, but since the work for this spot doesn't start right away, I'm not in a big rush to have a beta tester by that particular date.
Unless I've missed something, let the auditions begin~!

tracks that I would want:

track 03 (.hack//G.U.)
track 04 (.hack//G.U.)
track 05 (.hack//G.U.)

yeah I know the 3 tracks are similar but hell I liked them and .hack//G.U. would go excellent in 1 of them

old video, my 2nd one with VG footage (the first one was my first AMV but that was with downloaded footage :P and it looks like crap )

my best video so far

my latest work with VG FMVs (anime style), but they were made in a few hours and I screwed the encoding >___<

This post is both for your reference and my own. Basically, I'm just showing how many people are auditioning for each track so far. It's helpful to me for various reasons, but you guys might find it useful as a means of maybe going for something that no one else has (as it would certainly increase your chances of getting the track). Anywho...

01
02 - 1
03 - 4
04 - 1
05 - 2
06 - 3
07 - 1
08 - 2
09
10 - 1
11 - 1
12 - 1
13
14
15
16
17
18
19
20 - 3
21 - 1
22

I'll keep posting this periodically until auditions are over. (Yes, I realize I could just edit the first post constantly, but I want to catch people's attention.) Keep auditioning, folks! I'm looking forward to seeing who else shows up. :3
