wow, i thought the ending of the anime was going to leave me hanging forever! ... but the first OVA has restored my hope *_*

Episode 2.......OH FU**! CLAMP has done it again! I never expected Tsubasa Chronicles would kick this amount of ass.

The amount of revelations and plot events were overwhelming.

I won't spoil anything, but coming from somebody who has been following the manga very closely, I have to say that the anime adaptation was fairly good. I loved how the second OAV really got Sakura to show some emotion for once - something that the series before it had failed at pretty badly.

I felt that the series made a very good shift in the Tokyo arc of the manga, changing up the dynamics of the character relationships vastly - and it all had such gorgeous illustration! I was pretty cautious about getting my hopes up for an anime adaptation of what I felt was one of the most interesting plot twists CLAMP has thought up, but they haven't disappointed. I still don't feel like the animation does CLAMP's style justice, but it's still very pretty to look at.

Overall, even if you've lost faith in the series on the anime side, I'd suggest catching these OAVs.
