Fullmetal Alchemist Save Me Just In Time
I finally made another AMV!!! WOW! And for those who complained about the crappy quality of my footage I figured out how to make it look a WHOLE lot better! Enjoy! I have a direct download of the high quality .MPG version of the AMV if you want to watch it in high quality.

Download Zarxgui from the AMVapp. Toss into it an AVI file (uncompressed, huffy, or lagarith). THEN you will have a high quality file at a reasonable file size. I've made AMVs at a higher resolution and longer in length than that and have still gotten smaller file size than 217MB or 60MB.

Thanks for all the advice for getting my file size smaller. I'll keep that in mind when I make another video. I hope you all like what I did, since I've not gotten one response considering the actual video. I'll put up a smaller direct download soon.

Getting for skillet :O
Edit: Please don't take this the wrong way. You seem genuinely interested in improving yourself, so I'll be blunt.
The amv lacked any kind of flow or pacing. The climaxes were hit pretty much the same as anywhere else. Occasionally the animation of a scene would make it work okay. But that was so infrequent that I assume you just put the clip in generally the right spot and thought it looked "good enough". The sync wasn't very tight at all. That's not to say you didn't hit any beats; you did. But it was irregular and often just offbeat. Aside from occasional lyrical condentations, it was basically random scenes from FMA set to music. Which isn't bad in and of itself, but the editing at least has to justify the time it takes to view.
And perhaps the most important note, Stay away from cheesy effects. You've said yourself you don't have a powerful effects suit, and that's A-okay. You can make fantastic, beautiful, popular, and generally great stuff with simple cuts and fades. But trying to meet effects amvs halfway is only going to ruin what respectability your amv has. For instance, the masked hand at the end was a nice touch, because it's within your means to do that well. The piano keys and 3D transitions, apperantly, are not.
