Kids Got Shadows In Their Eyes

A little experimental work I've been editing for the last few weeks. I'm very satisfied with the general atmosphere/mood that it got in the end.

And yes that is the best video quality I was able to manage with this file size/video length ratio. Don't worry though it's just really bad at the beginning and clears up a lot after that. Goddamn static overlays. :P

That was an interesting conceptual amv. Very original. My only complaints was the song and fx got overly repetitive till you started doing new stuff near the end. It's got a nice horror feel to it even though you didn't give it that as a genre.

8/10

I think the problem was the length. The concept was cool but 7ish minutes of it was kinda overkill. I'm guessing that you didn't want to cutt the song though which is understandable.
"The people cannot be [...] always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to [...] the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson

didn't like some of what you did fx wise, especially the noise at the start (could see the edges of the layers x), and the boxes (orange?! o.O) and zooms towards the end...

that glowing stroke on the roto stuff was gorgeous... and up until 5 minutes or so there was a flat out awesome amv underneath the overlays. The song is fantastic. dunno what to say really. breathtaking up to the 5 minute mark, then not so much :P

I really enjoyed it up until the 5 minute mark when you noticeably got tired of editing it and just filled space with mediocre effects. It was big fun, and deep, and I liked almost everything you did up until that point.

While I hate it when people give advice in threads like these I cant resist: Next time you get tired of a project and rush it out, don't announce your motives in the notes. Call it "a change of artistic direction", not "I'm so fucking tired of looking at this"
