Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Go Ask Haruhi
audio: Jefferson Airplane - "White Rabbit"
video: Ouran High School Host Club 13 (Haruhi in Wonderland)
category: Drama; Fun; Other
length: 2m35s
editor: Sony Vegas 7
codec: DivX (2 Logical CPUs)
size: 57mb
I left this uncompressed as an avi so as not to conflict with common media players. I also wanted as much sound and video quality as possible left intact.
NOW: technical crap aside, this is my first foray into Drama. I don't really know how else to categorize this, but I think it has a better chance making contest ballots than my attempts at comedy had. This was the easiest video I've ever made in terms of ideas coming together. It's also the most work I've put into one.
Constructive criticism and suggestions welcomed.
Enjoy...

I love the song and me and one of my friends had an idead for an amv with it. Let´s check out how good it coul work =D
EDIT:
Mhm... It had it´s times and the lyric sync is fine, but it still hasn´t the atmosphere that I would wish from this song. Yeah it doesn´t really get me. I think that the anime still doesn´t fit to the song, because of it´s style/design. 2.35/5

No, there wasn't. Nothing beyond what Bauzi already said about my vidid post.deuceloosely wrote:Hmmm...was there a message to go with this?Kionon wrote:
Just asking...
In general, I felt this was one of the videos where the concept was so obvious, you were completely unable to do it justice. Not a criticism, per se. I couldn't do it justice either. So if I couldn't say anything nice, I hadn't planned on saying anything at all.

Perhaps that's why I haven't seen anyone else try this pairing? I wanted to at least give it a go. I was sincerely hoping I wasn't the only one who thought of putting this song together with this particular episode. I was once told that single-episode AMVs were risky...but there it is.Kionon wrote:In general, I felt this was one of the videos where the concept was so obvious, you were completely unable to do it justice. I realize this is certainly no epic video, nor was it meant to be. I just wanted to try and make a nice little package of trippy fluff out of it all. It's my nature to go on tinkering with something until it becomes an overwrought product of some sort if I don't let it go when I feel good about it the first time. I'm sure this could someday become worthy of praise if I keep playing with it, but this is good for me right now.
