This is My first attempt at an actuall Action video. It still tries to tell a story, probably one that is too complex for an action video, but what can I say... I guess I can't realy edit a video that doesn't tell a story ;p I guess I was at least somewhat successfull at my first attempt at action since it won best action this year, and I was up against a few good videos. Thanks alot to those of you that voted for me :) I was realy surprised, but happy to see my name on the screen during the awards ceremony, I actually froze for a second lol.

Special Thanks to my maticulous nitpicker I call a beta tester, Maverick, for nitpicking my video to death to the point of profesionalism it is now.

Also thanks to the other people that helped in various ways, such as helping me find a scene I needed in naruto, Added beta testing, and other such stuff:

Anyone else I might be forgetting.....

Well, enjoy. 8-)

Out of all the characters in Naruto, I really hate Sasuke. So I really dug what you made happen :P

Anyway, this video rocks, and is fantastically done. Awesome job

I still think it's a bit of a stretch to have a revenge tale provoked by a not-quite-death.

Still a fun video.

I already told you this, but your video is awesome. :) I loved the mix between the action and drama, and you did a great job with getting the story across. Loved it.

I like a lot of things about this, especially the forthought placed into mixing action/drama. It does, however, suffer from the same problem I see in videos like Whispers of the Beast. The synch is entirely devoted to your own editting, with very little emphasis placed on synching the actual action occuring in the shots. Most of the time, you pick scenes that have the right speed, but not neccessarily the right motion to synch with the music, which is instead done so with effects/transtions/cuts. A very clear example of this is the Naruto/Sasuke fight near the end of the video. It's paced very well, but the punches, hits, and general moves aren't synched with the music in a manner that grabs my attention, which is instead held by the sheer amount of motion you create on the screen. This style isn't bad, per se, just not my favorite when it comes to action. In action vids, I like to see a big beat timed with a big hit, etc etc (The OV vids are perfect examples of what I'm talking about, footage related synch vs editting related). All in all, it's still a pretty rawking vid, just no real X factor for me.

4/5 stars.
The best effects are the ones you don't notice.
