boogiepop sunshine
okay, so, this is my second amv. it seemed like a good idea when i started to make it. the song is "walking on sunshine" by Me First and the Gimmie Gimmies. the anime is boogiepop phantom. i noticed that there weren't many boogiepop phantom amv's listed under the catagory of "fun." thus, "boogiepop sunshine."

Compress your audio to something other than PCM, it'll leave a LOT more room for the video in the final filesize, and you'll be able to afford higher quality. As it is, you might have wanted to consider resizing to a lower resolution to save on video quality (after deinterlacing or IVTC).
Popframe at the cut at 1:03.
You might want to consider unchecking the box that says "Deinterlace when speed is below 100%" on clips that have jagged lines, assuming you're using Premiere 6.5 or lower.
Also, it might save you some headaches to read[BAG] up on inverse telecining and editing in 23.976 progressive, as it'll save you all or most of the troubles associated with interlacing.
Lip sync is kinda flappy -- reminds me of my first attempt ("NERV Evening News"). Remember that, usually, when people talk, their mouths don't close completely after every single word.
With the way you chose to end it, I'd have considered letting the audio fade out more gradually, so that it wouldn't end until the words "Life Can Be So Nice" had faded out.
I guess this would fall under "dark comedy" more than anything... surprisingly, you managed to get some good lyric synch in (the scenes from "My Fair Lady" were pretty darn well placed), and a lot of the rest of it was heavy with irony that somehow worked. At least to me. I can see where this video might not be everyone's cup of tea though.
Your editing style plays a large part in making this video work -- it fits the music better than the footage does, that's for sure.
Nothing spectacular, but it's enjoyable. Just fix the quality issues and work on your lip sync.

thanks to everyone who has checked it out thus far.
my apologies on a few things:
1 - the lip synch. i began trying it, then i gave up, then i just let the lips flap. sorry.
2 - any "technical" problems. see, i never read an instruction file on how to do this, kiarrens just showed me a few steps and away i went. so any technical problems, please be specific so that i can look into those things in the future.
okay, and note, this video was made just for fun. i know it kinda sucks, but it was made with the intent on amusing me.
thank you.
