Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

It's my 1st time, Please be gentle!!!

Well, Here it is FINALLY after a full year of being missing in action, my very first release to the public. I thought that I had lost it about a year ago due to a HD crash, but a friend of mine whipped out a copy he had the other day, and after openly weeping I decided to share it with everyone.

It's called "Perfect Trip". (<- click for video profile)

It's a not so cleaver name derived from it's sources, Perfect Blue & Filter + The Crystal Method - Trip Like I Do. I am VERY proud of this video. It took about 2 months to complete working on it every day. It's actually my 2nd video. The 1st one that I made.....well......let's just say ain't here anymore.

PLEASE check it out, and be as critical as possible. I am totally new here, so I expect nothing but unbiased opinions. ;)

This video will (hopefully) be competeing in Anime Mid-Atlantic's (www.animemidatlantic.com) AMV contest. If you are going to be there, please PM me so that I can say hello!

Thanks to everyone that takes the time to look at it. I look forward to hearing the good and the bad.

hey man!!! i haven't seen the anime, but it comes well recommended from a friend of mine. personally, i though the video itself was very well made, kept me entertained, and the fact that your editing was what was holding my attention instead of some of the over-flashy tricks that some people resort to that hurt my eyes, is a good thing!! :-D you should do well at the contest!

Thank you for your kind words! So far it seems to be well recieved!! :D Although it's only been up for a day, it's already recieved some high star rankings (Thanks to everyone that left stars ^_^). After 8 of them, It has an average of 4.25 stars, and is (for now at least) #9 on the Top All-Time Star Scale!!! Very exciting stuff.

Anyone who hasn't checked it out yet, please do. I'd love to hear from anyone else that has thoughts about it.

I left an opinion on your AMV. I found the music worked well with your scene selection. Special effects were not overdone. Choice of effects with musical rythm was above average. Good job :)

somedude67: Thank you too for checking it out, and for leaving your opinion. That was very generous of you.

I am glad so many people are downloading this video and telling me what they think. Please keep the feedback coming! I'm working on a new video right now, so any feedback you give me I can use to make the next video even better! :D

Well after a little over a week of the video being up, I've recieved some pretty overwhelming responses! So far it has 355 hits, 123 downloads, and 10 registered OPs. That's not bad for just over a week! Thanks to everyone that has left feedback for me, or contacted me personally to comment. I'm particularly flatered by those of you that have exponentially more videos done, but are still asking me for help with things. That's seriously touching. And a big thanks to everyone that took the time to download and check the video out. I'm honored. My next video is well under way and should be premiereing here in the next month. Please look forward to it! :D
