Queen of the World (a parody)

This is a Gundam Wing/Evita parody, watch out for Relena bashing and mad attempted lip sync.

For anyone who's seen Evita, this vid is set to Peron's Latest Flame, sung by Antonio Banderas and Madonna. It's a parody vid with Relena as Evita, Treize as Peron, and Heero as the narrator. ^"^ [For those who haven't seen it, a rundown on the plot of the movie can be found in the vid description.]

Argh, those flashes hurt my eyes. >_< But editing was good especially towards the end, perhaps a little fast at times though. Nice lip sync too.

Ah, sorry about the flashes. Was it the black or the blue colored sections? Think a darker shade would have been better?

Slow isn't really my strong point these days, and I wanted to keep it upbeat - I find a lot of vids with lip sync tend to be rather slow, so this one was the opposite. ^.~

And I'm glad you liked the lip sync. ^_^;; I sincerely hope I never work on something with as much as I needed for this vid. Makes me notice how oddly shaped lips *are* in anime. o.o

The black flashes were much worse, probably because of the contrast. But hey, good job anyway! ^^

heh not bad i kinda like it . yeah the black flashes in the begining and some of the pruple flashes were my only issue . lol i like the chorus of the song its odd..yet good . ill be sure to write up an opinion later with more details

Heh, I'll try and avoid the flashing color/black clips in the future - I just dislike effects, and have fondness for colors. I enjoy the contrast after a black bit - but I do know it would be an eyesore for most. Again I wonder about my eyes.

As for the song - I find it hilarious. I really like the tracks for this movie, so making a parody of it was something I've been wanting to do for a while now (since I can't find anything for the songs). I'd put the lyrics up in the vid description, but there is profanity and I'm not sure if the descriptions are supposed to be 'PG' or not. ^.~

The black was much worse because in my experience a pure black screen generally means 'something in the computer just got screwed' so I suffer a mini-heart attack everytime the screen unexpectedly goes pure black. I left a more detailed comment about it in my opinion so I won't go into it here, just wanted to say I second the flashes were annoying idea.

Thank you very much for the review. ^_ ^ And you know, even though you didn't like the black flashes in the beginning, you caught exactly what I was trying to do with them - the 'watching still pictures' idea. ^_^;; I was aiming for 'flashback' type camera pauses on the characters. If I do something like this again, I'll definitely use some sort of snapping effect to make it more obvious - without any of those pure black screens. ^.~

But it's good to hear from someone who recognized the song. ^_^; I still can't believe no one's used it...it's one of my favorites.
