Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

11h30

Post by Hiagoka » Sat Sep 05, 2020 12:23 pm

Well, last time I made a AMV with this music, I was accused of misinformation and got copyright strike on YouTube.
I'd like to clarify: this video doesn't long for 11 hours 30 minutes - it is just a name of the song.
Also, I hope this time I'll somehow avoid copyright strike :amv: .

The flow and pace of the videos was really good. I haven't actually seen Lain yet, but I really go into this. Nice Job  :D

I really liked the editing in this -- you did a lot of really cool things and even though this is pretty much a quintessential Lain AMV in terms of the way it feels, I'm always a fan of stuff like this.

That said, there's no reason to stretch this footage to 16:9. Imo it always looks bad when this is done -- just keep it at the normal AR! Besides this though, great work.

Can you either upload your video locally or add a download link so I can add it to my archive?

Thanks :D I agree, stretching video sources was not a good idea. I just thought those black borders will be, how to say, unaesthetic?

I whipped up a reply to this on my phone at work last week and never clicked submit for some reason.

My thoughts are pretty much what CrackTheSky already said. I really love this. I also think you ought to re-export this in a 4:3 aspect ratio. The "borders" are an illusion, they're not actually in the frame all all, frankly they don't even exist.

This was really engaging from beginning to end. The flow felt effortless and natural. Maybe the best pure editing in any video you've shared so far. Great stuff!

I really needed something that will cheer me up. Thanks.
