Senora Girls

Post by Vancore » Fri Nov 15, 2019 7:38 am

After years of not really doing anything, I came back to editing AMV's last year and attended the Kumoricon 2018 iron editing competition. This is a re-edit of that video. I really wanted to expand on a few ideas that I had started in the original and change the end in particular. I felt it came out a lot better than last years effort. Enjoy!

Really feeling this, great combination of sources, the "magical girl AMV" is kind of its own little genre at this point but this brought some originality into it that I've never seen before. Haven't seen the original version of this that you made but from the sound of it, all the changes you made to it were for the best. The AoT clips kind of feel weird sitting next to everything else here, but they're such a small part of this that they don't really detract from the AMV as a whole. I love the positive energy in this... welcome back to editing!

Thanks, it was the AoT clips that were my secret sauce and I mainly got rid of most of them except what I thought worked. I was really thinking about dropping the second one but I thought it might feel odd to only have 1 clip of AoT in there and it synced really well. At least this version doesn't have the AoT drill instructor yelling "Senora!" in it lol. Thanks.
